imago - Moon Runner - July 06, 2024
Wealda sequestered herself to keep any illness away from others.
The pack orbited around their youngest. Provided. Protected.
Little by little, Moon Runner’s strength returned. She, too, hunted for Pebble, Clover, Litle Paw, and Chipmunk.
On this day, Mother and Father ranged outside their territory.
Wealda’s mate had not returned.
Scar has gone, Moon Runner’s spirit felt.
Sister, too, has roamed.
Tall Shadow, @Mulherin, had not been seen in many days.
The Rise had no Fengtooth.
Moon Runner climbed to the territory’s tallest peak. She craned back and howled Tall Shadow’s name into the Taiga wind.
Come home, her spirit sang.
