He spots a deer and cheers up. Smile on his face appears as his stomach announces itself, and so he steps closer. Closer to the deer. Closer to the dead deer, closer to the carrion.
Eyes glow in the darkness with lust and starvation. He is a mess; it’s dead. It’s a corpse, with flies around and the last remaining chunks or spoiled meat. At least some food, he thinks for himself when poking it with his paw. A rib breaks and falls onto the ground, and Nivis rolls his eyes back.
