there is chaos and there is the metallic tang of blood rife upon the air.
and when meseba realizes it belongs to @Eset, his stomach drops and his heart pounds in time with the only thought in his head: find her. help her. save her.
it is with a grind of his teeth that he bears the burden of his orders:
man the gate.
meseba is ironspined; a dragon bound in chains in that moment. bound to obey.
the minutes feel like hours and the hours feel like weeks, like years. time moves achingly slow as he stands at the threshold of the gate, waiting for any sign of the hebsut.
