dreamer - Pukei - August 07, 2024 Open to anyone! :D
Pukei surveyed the small garden she had cultivated with a beaming smile. If she were human, she would have stepped back and proudly rested both hands on her hips. Arlette, of course, had a far larger store of herbs already but the girl figured there was no harm in establishing a backup garden just in case. Weeks had passed since, but The Incident in the birthing den lived in her mind rent-free. It had also prompted Pukei to get serious about helping contribute to the pack. She couldn't hunt, she couldn't fight, but she at least knew a thing or two about plants. So she had set to work with single-minded determination. All the while, she had been blissfully – or perhaps naively – unaware of the turmoil that many of her fellow Swiftcurrent Creek members were currently going through. That did not mean she was completely unaware of recent happenings, however. Three new scents had been added to the collective pack-scent that permeated the Creek, with one in particular piquing her interest. Yet every time she began following the unmistakeable smell of milk, Pukei found herself turning back, Arlette's fearsome red eyes and snapping jaws replaying in her mind. RE: dreamer - Arlette - August 08, 2024 Arlette had taken a moment of respite from the children. Only to check upon things and make sure all was well with the garden. She also was curious how things were with the newest addition to the pack. Suzu had not even time to settle in before she birthed her pups. It was going to be busy times for them. Still, Arlette was kind of glad to see the pack grow. As she walked she noticed someone up ahead. She was quick to realize it was Pukei. She still felt bad for how she behaved towards her. So undeserved. Arlette noticed that Pukei was also busy with a garden, a new one. She was pleasantly surprised. Hello, Pukei, she greeted and wagged her tail. The beta hoped the girl would not hold a grudge towards her. Arric had promised to apologize for her when he would see her. She was not sure if he had done so. How are you? RE: dreamer - Pukei - September 17, 2024 Ahh, sorry for the wait on this!
If Pukei was anything, she was forgiving. Forgive and forget was a motto she liked to live by. And she would forget, eventually; when the memory stopped looping over and over whenever she smelt even the mildest hint of milk...or Arlette's scent. A shiver ran the length of her spine as the Beta's familiar smell hit her nose. Her ears shot upright at the following greeting as Pukei tried to soothe her nerves. "Oh, hi, Arlette!" she said spinning to greet the woman with a sheepish smile. She took a moment to look her over, glad to see there was at least no lasting damage. Carrying four pups of that size couldn't have been good for her joints. "I'm great!" she added, taking a step back to reveal the side project she had been working on. It was a modest garden; small, with barely a few sprigs of herbs to its name, but it was a start! "Whaddya think?" she asked in earnest with a wave of her tail. RE: dreamer - Arlette - September 20, 2024 No worries!! <3
Arlette wagged her tail in greeting. She was met with the same enthusiasm as she knew Pukei. She didn't register the shiver that went through the other wolf. She hummed when the other wolf was well. Good. Then again, it might not be an entirely truthful answer but Arlette decided to think the best of it. Arlette glanced at the garden and then beamed. It looks wonderful! I did not know you were interested in gardening, she spoke. Arlette also had her own garden, or well, the one Eshe started she still kept up with. But she didn't want to diminish Pukei's effort. Tell me about what you planted?,she asked with a smile. |
