strong enough - Anatolia - August 15, 2024

still just a roly-poly so immediate family welcome :)

anatolia was the center of the universe.

this she had become very certain of. often wedged in the middle of siblings, the center of her mother's side for feeding. all warmth seemed to orbit around her. she could not see or hear herself but when she whined, someone tended to her.

these neonate days were pure, untainted bliss.

the future of yellowstone grew strong.

who gazed upon it?

RE: strong enough - Nephele - August 20, 2024

the days following the arrival of her children had been dedicated for sleep and recovery. though as nephele was quick to discover, sleep for a new parent was near non existent. if it was not one fussing, then it was another.

the moments where all three of her children were content were few and far between, but in rare times they shined through. she had just gotten zephyra to settle when the wriggling of anatolia caught her attention.

"i think you might grow to be even bigger than your brother," she cooed to the girl as a pink nose moved to boop the babe's belly.

mother.

her sun, her moon, her life essence.

the boop against her was met with a meep. had she been able to understand the words, she would have been delighted by them. instead she was delighted only be knowing her mother was here.

stubby limbs paddled as if she meant to swim.

in the next moment of breath, nephele was scooping her child near in a warm embrace. a tongue swept over the back of her daughter before soft coos were sent to the air.

she could desire nothing more perfect than her children. beautiful, pure.

and they were hers! a soft hum of content echoed it's way through her chest as she continued to bathe her firstborn.
