key lime - Maplesmoke - August 28, 2024
a veil of mist lingered at his hocks, flowing among the rocks that bordered a collection of steaming hollows across the earth.
it smelled like illness. the air was thick, flavorful, and made his nose scrunch. snorting a few times (as if that would help) maplesmoke tried to withdraw and turned, stepping in to a pool by mistake.
the water was hot! the stinging made him shout, and draw back quickly; catching himself against the jagged edge and making him bleed.
