Rowyn had watched with horror as Ash Star had been killed in front of him. There was so much blood. He had never before seen someone lose so much. His stomach had frothed and frothed. The saliva pooled at the sides of his mouth as he retched over and over again. Dizziness made his head swim. Then he had run. Legs moving as fast as he could go. Body too. There was nothing and no one to keep him where the fear was. He would not stay.
So he ran. He ran until his paws were bloodied and his legs felt like jelly and he fell in a heap beneath golden trees and his eyes closed. While his hesrt beat erratically. Slipping into blessed darkness.
