Visions of You - Kekoa - September 22, 2024 Memories are a fragile thing - too easily fractured and morphed into something it is not. Kekoa knew this well, however when dealing with mushrooms you could not be mistaken in your choice. There was no necessity to finding the mushroom Phobos had fed him, rather he was curious. As far as he remembered it had not done anything to harm him. His memories of the mushrooms effects were jumbled and far apart - bears, deer, flashes of gold and a woman singing. It may have been nonsense, or it may have been visions - the only way to find out was to try the mushroom again. He would stay away from Saatsine after taking it if he could, at least until the effects wore off. He assumed that the interruption of other wolves would prevent accurate research from being conducted. A brown mushroom - he knew that was what he was looking for, and he planned to find it. RE: Visions of You - Kekoa - September 22, 2024 The sun was only a few hours from setting by the time Kekoa found what he was looking for. Tail swaying, he was quite pleased with himself. He only hesitated for a moment in the face of the familiar brown mushroom before biting it off of it's stalk. Swallowing, he would now wait. But for how long? He did not know. This was the part he hadn't thought through. How would he know when the mushroom was beginning to take effect? Shaking his head, he laid himself down. Now he could only be patient. Laying his head on his paws he shut his eyes. RE: Visions of You - Kekoa - September 23, 2024 The boy's eyes shot open. Had he drifted off? He did not know. The world around him appeared distorted - painted in red and clouded over. He could not help but feel uneasy as he pushed himself to a stand. "Kekoa," He heard his name called, the sound surrounding him and barraging his eardrums as it rang out. A sense of panic grew inside as he realized that he did not understand where it was coming from, whipping his head to each side as his paws skittered forward. As he felt his paw hit something he glanced downwards, instantly letting out a nearly pained scream. A fallen tree, a crushed wolf. His ears rang and he could only run in the other direction. Paws carrying him as best they could, his breath growing heavy, he could only run. |
