[PHE] lal - Nantahala - October 01, 2024 Tag for reference—AW!
It had taken Nantahala time to adjust to the crowds, and now that she was acclimated, she figured it was time to get out and meet some other wolves. There was excitement written across her face as she exited the Moonglow camp, and a skip to her step. She hadn’t seen @Rodyn yet, though she knew he was busy, but her curiosity got the better of her, and she started towards Moontide’s camp to see if he was around. RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - October 01, 2024 Rodyn was still in the throes of meeting and greeting. It was not an easy task this constant talking. he'd rather be hunting. But he did his best. He showed his best side. Though he was taking a moment in teh cool of the forest. Deep breaths in and out, before he went along to the next group. Though he was surprised by the youngling that walked near and he chuffed kindly. Nantahala!he called out with delight. RE: [PHE] lal - Nantahala - October 02, 2024 Ah—there he was! Rodyn!!!she called in turn, pivoting on her heel to redirect herself towards him. She approached him with a large grin, and wagging tail, and outstretched arms to pull him into a short embrace if he allowed it. This is insane and awesome!!she complimented, looking around as she spoke. You did an amazing job—look at this turnout!!! RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - October 02, 2024 The young she wolf came towards him. Happiness in all facets of her face. This is what he strived for. A place, a gathering that brought all manner of different ways together so that they could learn. And potentially grow in understanding. Though it was not always the case. He pulled the younger girl into the hug that she sought. Laughter shaking them both. Rodyn's ears went to his skull and he looked sheepish. I did not do it on my own. The moon villages have all done well. You have done well. RE: [PHE] lal - Nantahala - October 08, 2024 Rodyn reacted in a way that was familiar to Nantahala—he was humble and didn’t take the credit he deserved. You’re right, you didn’t do it alone, but you did so much!!she insisted, searching his face as she spoke. None of this would’ve happened without you organizing it!He had to realize this! I’m proud of you,she said at last. And I hope you’re proud of you, too. RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - October 14, 2024 Rodyn did not feel he was as great as he was portrayed. Yes he had done the work. But there had been many minds and bodies involved. He hadn't done it all alone. A small smile, but he said nothing. There was no use arguing. Though he did smile at her words. Thank you I am proud of me. I am also very proud of you. RE: [PHE] lal - Nantahala - October 22, 2024 Rodyn was proud of her—she gasped! Really??she asked, somewhat bewildered by this. But, I didn’t really do anything! Now it was her turn to be humble; she would’ve taken credit had she felt that she truly contributed. RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - October 25, 2024 Rodyn chuckled. I beg to differ. he shifted and motioned for her to look around. You helped build the spaces for them to sleep, you caught some of the furs i have to trade. You helped where you could and when you could. And you will hunt with us. I think it's all something to be proud of and you have done so well. RE: [PHE] lal - Nantahala - October 27, 2024 She looked around when she was instructed to do so, and returned her gaze to him once he began to speak again. When he spoke, he listed out the reasons as to why she should be proud, and once he was done, she considered it for a moment. You’re right, she admitted, lifting her chin as she looked up to him. I should be proud. Her tail wagged, and her smile grew. With the pleasantries out of the way, Nantahala felt that she could now ask what she wanted: So … uh … do you think you have time for a quick hunt—it’s okay if not!! I know you’re busy!!But, deep down, she hoped he had time to spare; hunting would help her take the edge off. RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - October 31, 2024 A soft laugh as she realized. And he lifted hishead along with her and gave a small happy prance. Glad she was proud of herself. She was such a good girl. It was wonderful to see. He thought briefly on how life had brought him here and though he had pain. He would not trade. Sure we can. What are you in the mood for? I smelled some weasels, some hares. There was also a fisher near the river, but they are vicious beasts if trifled with. Also smelled some groundhogs. RE: [PHE] lal - Nantahala - November 17, 2024 He had time! Her heart skipped a beat, and she bounced in excitement. There seemed to be several options for them to choose from for their prey, and Nantahala considered the choices for a beat. How about groundhog?she decided. I’ve never caught one before, but I’d like to learn how to hunt them. RE: [PHE] lal - Rodyn - November 19, 2024 Rodyn chuckled at her delight. It was nice to know that he could help someone else. That she liked to hunt as well as he did. He nodded. He tilted his head. Groundhog hey. There were a couple ways they could do this. The same way with the gophers and their holes. Or they could sneak up one in the front one in the back and hope their hole wasn't nearby. Groundhogs weren't particularly fast, especially not after a full meal. Well we can hunt them like the gophers or we can sneak up on them and surprise them. |
