[PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Rodyn - October 01, 2024

There are five wolves per group. I can move around if I must, but I hope these groups work. That being said you should be able to roll for 1 or 2 Elk. Five wolves could probably take down 2 if they work well together. There is an adult and a youngster to be the lead two. I don't know if you want to have threads prior to this backdated or not. I hope you all have fun and enjoy. This will be Rodyn's first and only post in this thread.

He had sorted the first group and it was on to the second Group. He called to him @Ujurak of Kvarsheim and @Callyope of Moongrove. They would seek to hunt in this thread. He offered them both a smile. A soft wink for Callyope and then he called the rest of the wolves to their group.

@Sirmiq, @Ameline, @Sobeille

And he was on to the next group.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Sobeille - October 01, 2024

there was unique privilege to being called to loosen the bonds of life. sobeille stood at attention as rodyn's notes faded away, scarcely able to contain the rippling excitement beneath her fur.

the joy died in her mouth as she saw ameline.

she stood square, wary and unwilling to go any further until she was certain the bear-mother was in front.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Callyope - October 04, 2024

she might have floundered over rodyn's wink but —

she was going to lead a hunt! she had not thought she might be given such an honor. yet it was here, bestowed upon her. she knew none of those who might hunt alongside her but it did little to deter her.

instead she is looking brightly to them!

have any of you hunted such great beasts before?

she is already wondering how they will fall into formation! she thinks saltwater wolves might be quick and sharp like teeth. she thinks those of them who are inland might have the stamina to chase them into those sharp saltwater wolves!

yet she did not make this call outright. someone among them might have more experience with them than she did!

tried to leave it open for Ujurak to make any decisions or for anyone to call dibs on anything <3

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Ujurak - October 06, 2024

Rolled a 2 in the discord tabletop for fun. Wrote in an option for just hunting one if that is what the majority prefers!

Rodyn's summons take Ujurak by surprise. Set to be one of two leaders for a hunting party, his heart drums in his chest. It is a comfort to see Ameline, hers being the only face familiar to him within this group. Two of their number carry salt upon their coats and Ujurak caught the tail-end of Callyope and Rodyn's interaction. She was a moon wolf, then?

Callyope opens the conversation with a question. Ujurak returns her smile confidently.

Elk frequent the Rising Sun Valley, there is experience within our group. His eyes flick to Ameline with a nod. We could look for an injured adult, with our number I think we can manage an old bull. Or we can separate a calf and mother from the herd. They will be left behind by the majority if we injure them both.

Both options carried their risks, but there were many wolves gathered here for this hunt. The more meat they could provide for all present, the better.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Sirmiq - October 08, 2024

sirmiq answered the call with his usual silence. he rounded near to the others and dropped his head in an amicable greeting. he was the youngest, and likely the least experienced. the question of hunting great beasts stirred his paws, though his lips remained pressed shut.

he was a seal hunter, his paws sought the water for his choice of prey. hunting on land was not so much a foreign concept that he could not preform, but he was not nearly as proficient as those before him. and so the boy would spare those gathered no words, content to follow with whatever course of action they decided upon.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Ameline - October 14, 2024

She boasted to Ancelin that her group would be more successful, keen to draw out his competitive spirit. It caused her no plight to have the charge of the hunt given to another wolf- letting someone else make the decisions for once was relaxing. For months now, all decisions had been shared between Ameline and her mate- she would enjoy the opportunity to just be a part of something.

She clapped eyes on Sobeille as they were brought together, and she saw the young woman stiffen. She had no trust for the young siren, whose last visit to Bearclaw Valley had put Ameline into a tizzy.

But she hadn’t come back- not to Ameline’s knowledge.

She turned her gaze away, though she remained slightly ruffled still, content to leave the youth questioning whether or not she was dangerous.

Ujurak tabled their options, Ameline nodded.

Cow an’ calf, She said, casting her vote.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Sobeille - October 25, 2024

there was a kinship to sirmiq sobeille was not aware of. in an effort to avoid exchanges with ameline, sobeille drifted towards the young sea-hunter.

their leader announced their options. while sobeille thought it strange a man would lead this hunt, she supposed she preferred it to ameline - the likes of which she had yet to acknowledge after their initial eye contact.

following sirmiq in a proximity that would be best described as “way too close for total strangers”, sobeille elected to bring up the rear guard while callyope, ujurak, and ameline discussed their choice of prey.

though she was nervous to hunt game as large as elk, her blood sang with giddy adrenaline.

RE: [PHE] The Elk Bellows Group Two - Callyope - November 01, 2024

so sorry for the wait! promise to be more on top of this one <3

the young man took charge in a respectful manner. her eyes were warm upon him when he spoke. she held a blind eye for any troubles among those gathered.

a cow and calf sound wonderful.

her features wrinkled with delight before she assessed them all a bit closer. the valley wolves held a bit more stock than herself despite her height.

i would like to be in the chase to separate them. i believe our sea wolves might be well equipped to help me in that? her voice as warm as her features. her excitement apparent in her body language as well. and our valley wolves seem good for the injuring.

of course, the kill would come down to all of them, but the start must be organized.
