Finally leaving the river stones to her father's care, Mae parted from the Swiftcurrent Creek camp. Not for the purpose of mingling, as Akavir seemed to want, but to stretch her legs. Get a feel for the place.It occurred to her that she might investigate the hunting grounds too — but that meant traveling through other camps. Instead Mae skirted between the camps nearest to Swiftcurrent Creek. Desert wolves, sea wolves, Kvarsheim; she took in the scents of each, unwittingly carving a slow path toward Neverwinter Forest.
