[PHE] bloom in the shadows - Vincent - October 21, 2024

He's looking for Akashingo or Muat-Riya wolves, but I know most of them have left lol, so anyone is welcome! :)

It seemed the Great Hunt part of the Great Hunt had concluded, and while the fledglings of La Muerte hadn't participated, they had watched on with varying amounts of interest. Vincent had found his attention waning as the hunt dragged on, uninterested in observing the other wolves who had accompanied Reyna.

Why was mother even needed? Was it not Paloma's job to bring food to the royal family? Where were the others' servants and handmaids? Questions about the unusual customs of the others swirled in his head as the boy strode to the middle of the camps, wearing a look of mild nonchalance.

Despite needing experience in all sorts of politics if he was to become La Muerte's heir, the prince currently had little interest in the other packs. Today, he sought out the other royals, eager to learn more of this mysterious desert kingdom.

RE: [PHE] bloom in the shadows - Racharra - October 21, 2024

a lone child wanders close to akashingo's tent. racharra was just returning from a tour around the camps to encounter the little one.

..hello there. she smiled down at him, glancing around for any parents searching for a lost child. are you enjoying your time here? he seemed just a little ways older than the royals and the ogres.

if anything, this can be backdated to b4 they leave, but ill yoink this up for now!! if this is current day, then rach is in charge od the tent.

No problem! Timeline can honestly be set for ~whenever haha

He found himself surrounded by a ring of trees, the sweet scent of herbs drifting from one direction – where the healing circle had been established, though he did not know it – and berries from the other. This sweet smell wafted off a tall woman who now approached, and Vincent eyed her dubiously as she greeted him with a friendly smile. It was not returned.

"Who are you?" he demanded, ignoring her question entirely. He supposed she looked like she could be part of the royal family, if it was dark, and if he squinted. Her coat was well groomed and glossy, but she was not built with the graceful regality like his mother possessed.

The boy turned his head slightly, ready to brush her off the instant she no longer held his interest. "Are you part of the royal kingdom?"

RE: [PHE] bloom in the shadows - Racharra - October 24, 2024

taken aback by the boy's bluntness, racharra's widened gaze returned to those dull reds. is this a challenge? or just the bluntness of children?
she clears her throat and reorientates herself. prim and proper, the nebet settles on her haunches before speaking.

yes, i am of this kingdom. i am racharra of the redsands, noblewoman of akashingo. since he asked for it.
may i have your name now, too? you seem to be of high status yourself racharra's words were soft yet firm — this was still a child afterall. she could not find too much insult in him.

Her golden eyes widen, and Vincent stares back – indeed in a challenge, though he didn't really have any good reason in antagonising the stranger; he just felt like it. If pressed, the boy would simply shrug and weaponise his youth and inexperience. Well, how was I supposed to know? They were a solitary kingdom, up in the mountains. It only made sense the Nocturne children would be a little cold.

The boy remains standing as the woman neatly arranges herself before falling into a sit, her words keeping him in place for now. He had no idea what the redsands were, but Akashingo? He definitely knew about that. She then asked of his name, to which Vincent proudly drew himself up and announced, "You'd be correct. I am Vincent Nocturne, prince and future heir of of La Muerte."

Well, potential future heir, but she didn't need to know about that part.
