[PHE] and way down we go - Akavir - October 22, 2024

AW, but tagged for ref or invitation.

The news dropped—sobering on an event that had only hours before been hearty with laughter, meals and camaraderie. Stoically, the shadow runner pulled from the gathered leaders Kukutux had called to, his direction that of the creek camp, ensuring the girls remained within.

They both remained from his view mostly these days—after his insistence they mend their misdeed to the other young girl.

Closer now to their makeshift borders—he glanced back, idly wondering if Sven would be returning to Kvarsheim camp and what the stone wolves would endeavor to regarding the news.

For now, his muzzle tipped up, crooning a note to see if @Etienne was nearby—for @Yukimi had long since departed from their group, and he somehow felt she had not made a return back to the creek lands after doing so.

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Etienne - October 22, 2024

Etienne moved towards the creek camp. A somber air to the gathering. It put him on edge. He shifted and studied the wolves around him

He made it to the leader of their merry band and chuffed quietly. A title of his ear.

'ello Akavir.

Etienne didn't know what he was gonna do. But if he was asked he would offer his healing paws.

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Akavir - October 23, 2024

Etienne found him—Akavir swept his eyes over the man, knowing he had been busy. The details of with what was not something he was privy to—his mind briefly wandering to the healer’s constant rage when Akavir came upon him at the borders. Etienne, each time, had been cussing out someone or other—and he wondered just what kind of beef the otherwise quiet and polite man had with so many others.

His muzzle tipped in quiet greeting, his mind shifting back to more important matters. “Moonwoman has called the leaders together to inform us of news—the wolves of Akashingo are under attack, it seems. Targeted by a group of wolves who have an unhealthy interest in female pups and are proffering a strange green substance to any they can…” He paused, letting this information sink in.

“Muat-riyta is in the Lowlands, not far from the Creek. It’s where the attacks have been happening—they hurt a girl. Dangerously so. Akashingo put a bid out to any who will assist them eradicating this danger. I will be  going to the fight. We have too many young ones and not enough warriors to deal with this now, when there are other forces.”

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Etienne - October 23, 2024

Etienne was not a man prone to violence or rage except in very real cases such as Swordfish who had abandoned his pack, his sister and then crawled back and was absent again. And Heda who abandoned 4 small children for her own selfish reasons. And we're Akavir to ask he'd tell the truth.

I been in dey 'ealth spot. Takin care of scrapes and cuts. Little ones A small smile and then a dip down. As he listened.

Etienne sighed and blinked. I am not a fiter, but I will go. Per'aps my knowledge of 'erbs can 'elp in someway and I can be on paw to 'eal anyone who be needin' it. Unless you'd rather I didn't.?

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Akavir - October 24, 2024

Etienne spoke of his time here—something Akavir would have enjoyed to elaborate on and learn more of his comrade, but the conversation was something that would have to be placed to the side—

—he hadn’t expected the offer to assist, and his gaze swept over the healer, a confirming nod given, a spark of recognition flickering in his own champagne eyes—healers could be needed. He knew Arlette was exceedingly talented in the field, but he nor Arric would even consider letting her step foot near the potential danger.

“The offer is a welcome one. We’ll need to take the girls back to the Creek. I plan to discuss the matter with Kvarsheim—perhaps they also have warriors to send. The more we have, the better.” He paused, gaze skimming out to the glen that had served as a home away from home, albeit briefly. “Get your affairs in order and say your goodbyes. I’ll speak to Moonwoman of our intentions. We need to leave quickly.”

He did not mention that part of his hurried departure stemmed from his worry of the creek, and those that had remained behind.

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Etienne - October 25, 2024

Etienne would have gladly shared of what he had learned and done. But this was not the time or place. There were more important things .

Etienne could not in good conscience let his leader leave to go to a potential war without a healer. Even if Suzu would kick him from kingdom come for it.

If that wasn't a lofty thing. Both heartbreaking and painful. A soft uttered get your affairs in order, tell your loved ones goodbye. But he supposed it made sense. The real bad ones, they killed healers first. After all if no healers no lives saved.

I just need to say goodbye to my manman and little sister.

RE: [PHE] and way down we go - Akavir - October 25, 2024

Ominous words—but truthful. Still, if the shadowrunner had learned anything in this world, it was that goodbyes should always be given properly—one did not need the danger of war lurking to never see a loved one again.

Etienne understood, though—and while the Mayfair held no inclination of having the man near any front of the battle, they did not know what they walked in to.

He gave a nod—there were no words to speak that could offer comfort in this moment. His gaze softened upon the younger man—hoping he understood that it was the creek and valley they truly aimed to protect, above all else.

Etienne knew not what would hold when he left this place and traveled with Akavir. But he would never leave without saying goodbye again. He had seen the aftermath of such things.

Etienne didn't think he would be in the fray. But he also knew that were he needed togo among the wounded in the field he would. After all every soldier needed to come home. Wounded or otherwise.

Etienne gave a nod and then turned towards teh way he had come. He would find his mama and if he couldn't, he would task someone with the task to tell her he loved her. But he knew she knew.
