[PHE] fire & rain - Aditya - October 25, 2024

go keep your mother company, aditya told kitimat through laughter, playfully shooing the boy away. he'd been glued to his babaji all day, and while adi wouldn't have it any other way, he was in desperate need for a piss—

and with how long that particular activity was taking in his twilight years, he'd rather not have kitty lingering around to hear the quiet spatter.

smiling as the giggles faded into the trees, he lifted a leg and groaned through the intermittent flow, blowing out his lips in a somewhat exasperated exhale once he had finally finished. old age was a blessing of course, but some things. . .

as he turned, adi stopped short, nostrils flaring and a frown coming over his face. the small puddle beneath him was. . .darker. even more alarmingly, he had caught the scent of blood amid the acrid odor.

haaye, bhagwaan, he murmured, a sinking feeling of finality coming over him.

RE: [PHE] fire & rain - Raindrop - October 30, 2024

Changing context! Hope you don’t mind a friend of Valiant. :)

She had been showing her children around the Glen when she spotted a wolf in the near distance. “Children, stay here for a moment.” She instructed them and the children did not question it.

She trotted forward, and found an older man who had just recently marked, but it smelt of blood. She went into instant care mode, asking him: “Sir. I am Raindrop of Moontide. Are you alright? She asked, her voice gentle as she evaluated him with a glance over his body.

She could tell he was well up in age, and her most important thought was to make sure he was alright, and not bleeding. The smell of blood was not kind to the nose.

RE: [PHE] fire & rain - Aditya - October 30, 2024

embarrassment rose up around him fast, and even more so when he realized the woman coming to his aid was someone he knew—if only by name, and faintly by face.

i'm also of moontide, aditya informed her, voice a bit gruff. my son is dutch, husband to simbelmyne.

brow furrowed, he began to scuff dirt over the pool of urine, teeth gritted and mouth clenched taut. he buried his waste and then turned to the piebald woman, blinking to her in understanding and apology.

i'm fine, he assured her, straightening his spine and trying to maintain his dignity.

She felt a bad, once this man, Aditya, told her that he was fine. Had she no fur, her face would've been pink. and she swiftly apologized with a dip of her head: "I apologize, Aditya. Forgive me for my quick assumption. I was with my children when I came across you."

Changing topics, she turned to his belonging to Moontide. "I do not quite recognize your face, sir, but I know of Dutch and his family. His brother, Valiant, had helped me find my place here, when I first arrived in this land. It had already been well past a year. She spoke with a smile, hoping that her miscommunication could be put behind them.

"How are your sons? I have not seen either for quite some time." The last time she saw Valiant was when her babies had been born. Back in April.

I am so sorry, I misread that it was a mumble instead of a cry. *Face palm* I can go back and rewrite the context, if you like. :D

RE: [PHE] fire & rain - Aditya - November 01, 2024

no worries! it happens :D

it seemed there was more misunderstanding than just the inquiry into his health (though it was likely more serious than either of them knew). adi's brow lifted at the mention of dutch's brother valiant, and he shook his head, though giving raindrop a kindly smile.

they're good young men, he concurred, but valiant is not mine—he's a cousin to dutch through his mother. i did know his father, though, and loved him like a brother.

aditya said a silent prayer for sunny's sweet soul, as always, before he continued.

dutch has been missing. i'm not sure where he's gone. he shook his head ruefully, muzzle now downturned in a frown. hopefully, he will return soon. he comes from a family of wanderers. . .i suppose it was going to happen eventually.

with a sigh, he moved away from where he'd relieved himself, gesturing for raindrop to follow. where did you live before moontide?

RE: [PHE] fire & rain - Raindrop - November 07, 2024

Sorry for the late-ish reply, kinda let it slip by.

With a smile and kind heart, he corrected her, that Valiant was not his own son, nor Dutch's brother. They were cousins. She kept feeling sillier, wearing as sheepish grin, listening intently as Aditya continued....

After he'd finished speaking, he motioned for her to follow. She walked alongside him, still trying to put behind her mistake. "I didn't know that Dutch had been missing. I saw him last when he and his wife welcomed their children, and Valiant, he was there after I had mine. I haven't seen either since the spring." a brief confused expression followed her words.

She moved to address his question, now smiling fondly as she remembered her homeland: "I lived in the Cascades, , the northwest, known for rain and trees that stay forever green." Well, forever until they died, of course. "More than a year ago, I woke up in this strange land. Swiped from my home, somehow. But, I can't say it was bad in anyway." She would continue, explaining in short what had happened in the year after she'd arrived in the Teekons.

"I met the love of my life, Sumac Morningbreeze, and we have a beautiful family of four." She stopped in her tacks, giving out a short howl, telling her kids to come, that it was safe.

Optional, and if Aditya does not mind. One poster per pup. @Angel oak, @Ponderosa, @Silvertip, @Pine. If prefered, I believe still have PP permission from Rainchaser, since she is still absent.
