Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Leto Amaranthus - October 26, 2024 The trip the the coast had been long, but Leto was glad it had been down. Now after months of travel she returned to the pass, unaware of events and unwilling to learn. Her legs ached and her stomach demanded a meal - she wished to settle back down. Her travels had the benefit of keeping her exercised and well fed - hunting was much easier in her usual environments. Her muscle had grown more defined, her fur revitalized. She felt beautiful, like she had become herself again. At times she wondered why she returned to the pass; she doubted that she would be stopped if she left, though she had never tried. But the answer was obvious; it kept her interested. It was not the green, or the men (maybe just a bit), but the action. She felt as though she could never relax. There was something satisfying about the way she had to look over her shoulder. RE: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Beau - October 26, 2024 A familiar scent had been caught on the wind, and Beau found himself running towards it. His heart welled with an unrequited love as he spotted her in the distance - ethereal, perfect. He wished to call out, but he would wait. He refused to look completely desperate. The area was marked by other's, and it left him confused. Leto had not joined a pack, as far as he knew. He shook off the worry, pushing forward. Soon catching up with the woman, he bumped his should into hers. "Long time no see - how have ya' been?" He offered a grin, treated her as an old friend. He trusted that she would respond well. RE: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Leto Amaranthus - October 26, 2024 Now she was truly surprised. Turning to Beau she blinked, a nearly flustered feeling washing over her. "Beau!" Was the only word she managed to push out in greeting as she blinked back at the man. He looked well, though his pelt was thinner than the last time she saw him. Had he been in the lowlands long? Had he been waiting? Briefly, she looked ahead. She had only just entered the pass. He was only just over it's border. He could not stay here. Not yet, at least. RE: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Beau - October 28, 2024 He could only snicker at her response. Tail waving, he looked her over with longing eyes. She looked healthy, strong. Her coat was just as beautiful as the first time he saw it, and her eyes carried a new sense of maturity. Something she had previously lacked. He wished to bombard her with questions, but he knew better. Such actions would have him appear desperate, and while he certainly was, he knew that it would likely scare her off. RE: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Leto Amaranthus - October 28, 2024 The man stared at her with a strange, loving look in his eyes. It made her wish for him to stay. "Listen Beau, I can't stay here long - but you're welcome to come with me." She offered a gentle smile, something meant to comfort him. She had to find Soto first. The pass was empty - it left her confused. The cartel was her new family, they had to take priority over her next boy toy. RE: Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy - Beau - October 28, 2024 An offer to follow her - that was more than he expected. His ears perked, an overwhelming excitement drowning out his senses. "Yeah - yeah I don' see why not." He responded with a grin, and prepared to follow. He was excited to see what Leto had been up to. He expected something calm, gentle - something that would make him feel warm and cradled. It would suit her, he thought. Clearly, Beau did not know Leto as well as he once thought. |
