abcdeFU - Meadow - November 02, 2024

Frost glistened along the rolling grass before her—a beautiful home of knolls, bountiful trees, and resources.

Having been brought here under the impression they would be joining another pack of friends—and now they were alone. Again.

Abandoned, again.

The sun had only just begun to rise in the sky—painting it’s light on the abundance of land before her—not even a stir of grass with commotion. She was met only with silence.

She couldn’t help it—she begun to laugh. It was the kind of laugh that began as a low chuckle, before it gave way to giggles she could not suppress. No, this was not a laughter of amusement, or happiness.

This was the kind of laugh that escaped when all else was lost—and disbelief had blanketed over her.

What were they to do now?

RE: abcdeFU - Reyson - November 02, 2024

Reyson was unsure what to do. Towhee left....others had left and here they were again. Were they more so he the catalyst? Was he the probl3m?

He tilted his head. And shifted in search of his wife. Stopping short at her slightly hysterical giggles.

Meadow.

RE: abcdeFU - Meadow - November 02, 2024

A paw covered the incessant laughter—muffling it, trying to swallow it down and appear completely normal before she turned to look at her husband who was staring at her as if he didn’t quite know what to make of this and her—

—neither did she, truthfully. As if to regain some footing in this scenario, she shifted her weight, her paw leaving her mouth to graze her cheek, as if checking for any unkept fur. “Towhee’s a twat,” she decided aloud, the joke falling flat when the humor didn’t meet the tone in her voice.

Seriously. How unhinged was the Redhawk woman? The first time Meadow had even met her, she had been gallivanting around, injured, when she was supposed to be on bed rest and then hurt herself more, so Reyson had to carry her to Epoch to get looked at…

Now, she had lured them to the Copse, stating big dreams of a tight-knit friendship and family, all but to pop out a random baby she endangered by dragging about from one land to the next, and then all but bounced on them in the end, after they had settled their children here.

“Now we’re stuck in this home that’s someone else's home, with barely a neighbor near us, after learning there’s a band of rogue wolves making attacks and dealing out dangerous herbs and medicines.”

RE: abcdeFU - Reyson - November 04, 2024

Reyson was many things and a fool wasn't one. However, he didn't comment too much on Meadow's current hysteria. After all, it was well warranted. Truly.

Reyson tried and failed to cover up the snort that left his maw. Meadow was, not wrong, per say. But He also deserved some of this blame. he knew how Towhee was, and had heard her in her words say she missed traveling. Perhaps he should have known this was coming. Wasn't he trained to look ahead and estimate all scenarios.

Reyson blew out a small breath and nodded. All Valid.

he looked around and then settled to his paws. Well for one thing I don't think they will come this far unless they are running. Only because if they are what I think they are, they need bodies to deliver and give these herbs too. Their livelihood depends on it. But we could search again if you want to meadow? Or we can find another pack? We can settle here. I'm sorry that this has happened. I told Towhee that you wanted stability and friendship and an actual home.

What he didn't say was I wish i could give you more. I wish I could make this go away. I wish i could keep you happy and peaceful and free. And that he was so sorry that it hadn't worked out that way. Especially for a wolf who craved stability the way his love did.
