Homme de la Montagne - Chaudry - November 06, 2024 @Rodyn tagging for visibility!
After sending off Kraai, his own journey through the coast continued. He searched for familiar scents as he went, looked for familiar faces. He had grown tired, the sun setting by the time Chaudry reached the borders of a pack. It was one he was unfamiliar with, their scent unknown to him until now. He knew to be cautious, polite. Pausing at the border he tilted his head upwards, letting out a long, nearly mournful howl. A cry for help. He felt some doubt that his friend had come this way, yet it felt necessary to check. He could only hope that the coast's wolves would be willing. RE: Homme de la Montagne - Kitimat - November 09, 2024 His guard was well up since Seelie's kidnapping. When he wasn't comforting his mother, he was bristling at any perceived threat to the territory and his family—of which this unfamiliar voice could be one. Kitimat left the den—any protestations by his parents aside—and trotted swiftly toward the border. What greeted him was a massive grayscale figure, owlish eyes cutting into the plateau's interior. His call had asked for help— But Kitty didn't trust him. He simply could not. He would not speak, though, reserving the words for Rodyn or Chakliux. Instead, he stood as tall as his juvenile form allowed and met the man gaze-for-gaze, chin jutted upward as if to dare him, Just try me. Nobody would seize another of his loved ones again—not on his watch. RE: Homme de la Montagne - Chaudry - November 09, 2024 His call was met by what he immediately saw to be a child. For a moment he furrowed his brow. It felt odd to see one so young alone at the borders. Where was his maman? It was nearly amusing, the way the child bristled and stared Chaudry down as if to challenge him. Could he not see how easily he would be flattened? The wolves of the coast seemed to be nothing if not stupid. But this time, Chaudry was not here for a fight. The child was yet to speak, so he would begin. He was in a rush after all. "You are from the pack here, yes?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I have come from Montagne de Cigue, a pack in the Sunspires. I am in search of a friend who has gone missing." RE: Homme de la Montagne - Rodyn - November 10, 2024 Rodyn arrived on teh scene and stepped up next to his pack mate. Giving him a stern glance to stand down. And then his yellow gaze fell on the man in front of him and he too wanted to bristle. He did not like that half baked amusement that colored this man's face. He took a breath, but stood firm and statuesque in his stance. Tail neutral, but it was clear who he was and why he was here. You are looking for a friend? What are t heir names? Did they go missing o ftheir own accord? I am Rodyn. Alpha of this pack, Moontide and this guardian of ours is Kitimat. We have had our own missings. So I think you should explain more please. RE: Homme de la Montagne - Chaudry - November 10, 2024 An older man approached - a leader. Chaudry was glad. He would surely be more helpful than a child. "His name is Tousaint." He stated, his expression growing neutral. "He disappeared in the night, I am unsure of the circumstances but I do know that it is unlike him to not alert someone of his leaving." He would not mention the argument between the boy and his mother. It simply was not the business of these wolves; they did not need to know the inner workings of Montagne de Cigue. "A yearling. Slim, well-groomed, ash brown and cinnamon. His eyes are a shade of lilac - you cannot miss him." RE: Homme de la Montagne - Kitimat - November 11, 2024 order goes Kitty -> Rodyn -> Chaudry now
At the stranger's question, he nodded, and turned a listening ear to the rest of it. At the revelation his friend was missing, though, both ears swiveled nervously back, and he swiped his tongue along his jowls. Missing. It seemed to be an epidemic these days. Luckily, he was spared from having to verbally handle the situation by Rodyn, who explained everything quickly and succinctly. Kitimat's orange gaze shifted between the two, eventually resting on the giant man as he described his comrade MIA. Lilac eyes—he wasn't sure what that color was, but it seemed distinctive—and brown fur. Tousaint. Maybe he'd turn up here, and Seelie at the mountain place. The thought alone filled him full of hope, and he found himself unknowingly holding his breath. RE: Homme de la Montagne - Rodyn - November 14, 2024 Mmkay. Thanks :)
Kitimat ahd done well, truly. But now Rodyn was unsure what to make of this situation. There were so many going missing. He wondered briefly if they should leave the coast. That thought alone, made his stomach curdle. He would revisit that another day. We haven't seen him. But we will keep an eye out for him. If you hear of a boy named Ghelan or a girl named Seelie. They are our missing wolves. RE: Homme de la Montagne - Chaudry - November 14, 2024 He seemed to listen well, nodding along to Rodyn's words. I will tell my Matriarche, Montagne de Cigue's wolves will be on the lookout. It felt odd to call his maman anything but that, but this situation called for formality. He was done here, he had said what needed to be said. Thank you, Rodyn.Offering a nod, he began to turn away though paused momentarily. Ah, I nearly forgot. My name is Chaudry. How could such a thing have slipped his mind? Diplomacy truly was not his strong suit. I'm sure we may cross paths again. Bonne nuit, mes meilleurs vœux à Moontide. He spoke no further, turning back the way he came and taking his leave. Chaudry out! :)
