little wren - Chakliux - November 07, 2024 @Sirmiq, @Chagak, and @Sea Hunter had gone east. with luck they would find another sign of seelie, even meet rodyn and his own party on their search.
chakliux called to them from itkome, saying he would continue west with @Puffin before he returned to moontide. there was deep worry in his heart for his sons, but they were strong. fierce. and they were together. now his berrybright eyes watched the horizon as ground-eating trot carried the tall seal hunter on. here the open flat land was scraped by winds which threatend to bend even them. pushing puffin to his flank where he might shield her somewhat, chakliux bent his head and pushed into the howling gales which ripped at their fur. RE: little wren - Puffin - November 07, 2024 It was hard to decide whether her father had chosen Puffin to accompany him because he wanted to baby her, or because he relied on her. She might've been in a sour mood over this lingering question — but there was just no time for that. Seelie was just a baby, too young to fend for herself, and who knew what kind of wolf had kidnapped her? Clearly not a good one. Pushing pridefully ahead of her father, Puffin dipped her own muzzle to test the scents thrown about by the wind. Already the seal hunter girl was proving herself a keen tracker. Within moments she'd lifted her head to call out: Here! A scent! Puffin didn't wait; she charged ahead to follow it, bristling as if they might find the kidnapper any moment. RE: little wren - Chakliux - November 09, 2024 her skills were sharpening, and chakliux had no qualms with following at once.
he overtook puffin after some moments, giving her a look that suggested she must exercise better caution. but the seal hunter did not scold; his own towering hackles matched her own. tasting the air, the earth, chakliux searched fervently for any sign of seelie. dutch and simbelmyne deserved far more than continued pain. |
