fōr - Edith - November 11, 2024 Specifically located near the base of Lone Star, along what would be the NSV northern border.
It was late, and Edith couldn't sleep. The cold had gotten worse, it had become wetter, and by the time she had found herself climbing to level ground again, there was only rain to meet her. The trees thinned until there was only an open field and if the weather had been better, she would have been greeted by a star sprawl the likes of which she'd never seen before. Here, where there was no light pollution, no chemical smog, no satellites, and no humans. Alas, the rain clouds were so fat and dark, they hung low and thick across the sky. Gobs fell from them and unceremoniously slapped Edith across the snout as she first emerged from cover, only for the rapidity to increase the further she tread through the meadow. Everything was dark, and wet, and soundless save for the thrumming of the rain. RE: fōr - Pala - November 13, 2024 Chaudry away on his spontaneous trip, his so-called 'search' for Tousaint, Pala was quickly finding herself overworked. Viskani had offered to assist her, insisted that she enlist Mnemosynes to take on some of her patrols, but Pala could not find it within herself to accept. She could handle the work, but she supposed that it would have been nice to curl up within her den rather than to have been stuck in the rain. It brought her no joy when the scent of another cut through the rain, and it only irritated her further when the scent of the ridge wolves clung to them. Spotting a figure, her first thought was that she could not understand what it was about an open field that seemed to drive these wolves so close to their borders. Though upon closer inspection, she was not quite sure that this was a wolf at all. Pausing at the treeline, she let out a bark with the hopes of grabbing the attention of the other. |
