New Initiates - Meldresi - December 19, 2014 @Raven Vyler PP-ing the pups
A female that she met a while ago, one that she had asked to join her, returned. Bane and Slade informed her of every wolf that joined or left, and her description seemed familiar. Why she was without that Jarl of hers was interesting, but she would have to ask her later. After feeding the pups and putting them to sleep, Meldresi crawled over them ans towards the entrance of her den, howling lowly to summon the female. Unluckily for her, the pups woke up and began whimpering loudly at the rumbling noise. Sighing, she turned back and tended to her pups, hoping to get them back to sleep before Raven arrived. RE: New Initiates - Raven Vyler - December 19, 2014 Raven recognized the voice, The one that held that strange calmness, the serenity of the sleeping of a child, yet the strength of the tense air the moment prior to a lightning strike. Raven had left the stranger who she had encountered previously, the agouti. His own purposes were what busied him, and Raven had left him as silently as she had arrived. With the soft gaze she held dormant on her face, the Mystic approached the woods, the place inhabited by shadows, dominated by darkness. "I am here, friend," she spoke to the ominous void, the very place she hoped the call for her had come from. Raven awaited the appearance of the ebony female she had met on the beach, that long time ago. RE: New Initiates - Meldresi - December 20, 2014 She rose slightly, turning to give her pups a few gently licks to sooth her cranky children. The younger two children silenced themselves quickly, but the black child, the largest, the oldest, the strongest, the most aggressive, and the most defiant, refused to relax and squealed loudly in protest. She probably guessed that he wanted her presence around him instead of in one area, but she would not spoil her children with that. Meldresi finally got the boy to settle, backing out of the den and going to the sound of Raven Vyler's voice. "I apologize for the wait. Children are quite needy at this age." She called out into the darkness, certain that the young woman was there. And she was right, and the Raven soon materialized in the darkness. "Now, why have you come here, without your Jarl?" RE: New Initiates - Raven Vyler - December 21, 2014 Raven dipped her crown, the graceful action showing her respect to the woman. Speaking softly, she congradulated her converstaional partner. "I wish you good and prosperous tidings on your motherhood, Meldresi." "At the mention of her Jarl, Raven kept the tremble from her voice, knowing even if he was at her side, he would not appreciate her display of weakness. Keeping the dulcet tones even, she replied to the sapphire tinted dark Alphess. "My Jarl had forsaken me, and I have returned the favor by not searching for him. I travel now, alone. " Raven knew she would show a rememberance of him, yet the time for such a mention was not of now, for she had matters of more importance to deal with, regarding her life, and the continuation of it. "Meldresi, i have come to ask if your offer to stay with you as a member of your family, is still up to accept. Considering that i now wander by myself, i have found it more life lengthening to reside in a home, and I recalled you at the very thought of such. If you wish to hear of my attributes, i will speak of them gladly to you. " RE: New Initiates - Meldresi - December 22, 2014 She nodded in response to the congratulations, something she took with a miniscule puff of pride. But there were more pressing matters on her hands paws; the question of Raven's loyalties now. It seemed that her leader, her Jarl, had vanished, leaving her to survive on her own. And she wanted a new place to stay, where her she would be safe. "I would gladly accept you," she said gently, eyes full of warmth, something that was becoming common after the birth of her children. "But a list of your attributes and planned trades would be welcomed as well." RE: New Initiates - Raven Vyler - December 31, 2014 Raven spoke, her soft voice making swift progress to the ears of her now, superior. "I planned my life to be in way for Naturalist, for I have a gift of decripting the seasons, and lunar cycles. I also wished to devout my life to one of a Goddess, however, my touch with her has become faint, and it seems she too, has forgotten me. My skills, battle wise, has only become more and more fluent in the ways of death dealing. After travel with Syver, it could only be predicted. I offer them to you, these strengths I own, for benifit of the pack, Meldresi. " Raven wondered what trades she would fit to, besides Naturalist. Caretaker perhaps? "I do not mind being one to assist in the care for your young, as well, friend. I see how much of a toil it could be upon a leader, to worry for the safety and well being of not only youth, but a family of woods who look up to you for guidance. Along with being a potential Caretaker, I have considered being a Counselor, as well." RE: New Initiates - Meldresi - January 01, 2015 She offered skills that were rare in Blackfeather, trades not involved with war. That of naturalist, caretaker and counselor. Caretaker she could use, especially if she wanted to train these assassins of hers, as well as monitor the pack's daily occurences. "You are welcome to reaquaint yourself with your goddess, Raven. I have my own religion, and there are others here who worship my goddess too. But I will not hold anything against you for it." She was always an open-minded person, especially when it came to religion, even though she was fiercely devoted to her own. "I expect you to fulfill your duties and be respectful to the pack members here, that's all I ask from you," RE: New Initiates - Raven Vyler - January 06, 2015 "That wish will be fulfilled, and fulfilled with honor, Meldresi. I will not disappoint. " A kind smile presented itself from the lips of the ebony, and she motioned to the direction of the little ones, Ears laid rest with humble hearted form. "If you are in need of a second hand in the help of motherhood, I can offer my traits to this, as well. I have had many chances to assist in the lives of babes, and with my help in the absence of their busy parentals, they have prospered. If keeping a single eye on young ones, while another is on the pack you hone, it can be an understated burden upon your shoulders." From the time she had left her natal pack to the time she had left Stavanger Bay with Syver, she had encountered whelps who needed assistance in raising, and happily, she oblidged. She had no desire to spill blood, for her good natured life had taught her that. She followed ways of a kind and gentle goddess, and even being with her Jarl had almost caused her to lose touch of her, for his Nordic life had rubbed lightly upon her own. RE: New Initiates - Meldresi - January 12, 2015 Last post from me! We need one more from you as well.
She was grateful to have another wolf willing to help out her and her pups. It was not that the others were not helpful at all, but there were not many who were "motherly" or "fatherly". The majority of her pack were trained, or aspiring, killers, and while they had some semblance of compassion, it was more a brotherly one than a parental. The priestess nodded, ending the conversation with "Thank you, Raven.", a simple statement, but that was all she needed. Meldresi stepped back into the darkness of her down den, leaving Raven to navigate on her own. While it may seem harsh, it was necessary if she was willing to learn how to navigate these tunnels by herself. RE: New Initiates - Raven Vyler - January 14, 2015 Without an acceptance or denial of her offering, Raven kept the confusion from her ebon face. She had even less to say after the midnight fae thanked her, then left her to her own devices. She was alone again. She slowly turned away, and said a grateful prayer to her goddess, hoping the wreathed maiden would lend her an ear after all this time. Then with her aspiring duties, she turned, and began making her way out to the wilds again. She had to find Jagger, and see if he still wanted to join. |
