i know we have one buuttt <3
an entire rabbit, belly slit, filled with sage and whole doves'-eggs. three of them.
a labor.
she sought @Karpos and his den this evening, moving in the cold dark with her offering. dismayed that the meat had cooled so quickly, agrippina tried for his nearest trail.
mind made note to speak of prince vincent.

he could not sleep.
the space was dark, hushed. primed for slumber until he could not do such anymore. so why did he turn? why did he toss?
eventually it was a task given up as he rose upright. prepared to walk off into the cold night and busy himself until he was worn down to exhaustion.
instead he was only a shadow in the mouth of his den when he saw her.
a warm note in his throat.

his voice soothed agrippina — more than it should.
"i have brought you a meal," she explained, setting down the rabbit in the shreds of leaves which had once loosely wrapped its body. "i can put it away for the morning but i wanted to talk to you about the prince vincent."
clearing her throat, agrippina sat. "my mother taught me many things, karpos. one was ascension. i have made myself a lady to princesa nymphora. i suggest you attach yourself to the prince. they are clearly at odds. loyalty will be rewarded as they grow."
in moments, a revelation would come to karpos. or it would not.
