Voices in my head - Potema - December 20, 2014

@Cicero @Damien Baby thread!

In less than a week, six days, the pups were going to be able to see. But, though that day was far in the puppy mind, she was still growing aware. Aware of her surroundings, aware that there was three other presences that were constant. One big one, and two almost-her-size ones. They were bigger, but as of right now, not that much.

Her life, due to her limited senses, was full of two main things: eat, sleep, repeat. True sometimes she and her brothers "scuffled", but there was nothing interesting...that she remembered.

She could not truly remember it. Later on she would, but for now they were vague memories of voices. A strong maternal voice, among others. These occurrences were accompanied by high-pitched whines different than those she normally emitted, and if any of her siblings or her mother noticed, she didn't know.

note to self: post made by previous player

Cicero speaks!

By now, the patchwork child had most definitely
forgotten about the small, lifeless bodies that left the
womb with him and his surviving siblings. The memory
of a newborn puppy is a weak thing, and far more of his energy was spent on growing, exploring (in an awkward, wriggly way) and getting used to his newly mobile body.

Already, the mood swings that would rule the erratic child's life were present, and his attitude towards the other small creatures with whom he shared this dark space depended very much upon how he felt in a particular moment. Currently, he was feeling rather affectionate, and with the large mother figure currently unresponsive (asleep?), he turned his attentions to the smaller of his two companions.

Letting out a peculiar trill of a sound, the boy crawled over the where he had last heard the female's squeaks. Muzzle stretched out, he continued to shuffle forwards, waiting for his snout to make nudging contact with her fuzzy side.

EDIT (1/24/2015): Removing tables.

----------------------------------------------------------- o -----------------------------------------------------------

The life for the eldest of the Melonii children so far consisted in two of the most comforting and addictive things there are. Eating. There is nothing more slumberous thing than clinging on to a nipple and sucking out the warm milk that fills your bottomless belly. Which takes us to the charcoal pup's second most favorite thing to do. Sleeping. About a 80% of the time from the moment he was born was spent sleeping under his mother's warmth. Or at least that's what he did when she was in there with them.

He didn't know how to count, in fact, he didn't know what the hell counting was, but if he did he would know that his mother had left the den too many times for having given birth no more than a week ago. It was always an unexpected thing for him to happen, and this time it wasn't different. The nameless pup was suckling his precious nipple, probably for the ninth time that day, when his mother decided it was a nice time to explore the outside world.

The charcoal blub that he was tried hard to grab hold to the teat, but he just didn't have the strength yet, so he was dropped to the cold ground. He yelped in rage, and instantly started wriggling his tiny body towards the exit, chasing down his sneaky mother. But he came across an obstacle in the way. He would soon know him as his brother, but for now he was just another blub in his way. Purposeful -in a very awkward way- the bigger Melonii crawled on top of him, not knowing any other way to come across his obstacles.

RE: Voices in my head - Potema - December 22, 2014

Since they're a week old their eyes should be open by now!

A voice, some rumbling thing in her head, was getting loud again. She winced, her whines becoming louder, as it continued again and again. A pounding in her head, from what she could describe it, if she could speak. If she could understand and speak words, she would describe it as open your eyes, open your eyes, open your eyes!

And she involuntarily complied. The seal on her eyes loosened, and the youngest pup saw, SAW. It wasn't much, but to her, it was mind-blowing. The pup blinked, her eyes adjusting to the dim lighting. She rolled around for a bit, her gaze still foggy, but better than anything she expected. Finally, the one-who-would-soon-be Potema, set her eyes on her brothers for the first time. The patchwork male was squashed underneath the black one, and she recognized them. The black one, the one who always climbed on top of her and the (sometimes) nice brother. She squeaked at them, wondering if they could see too.

RE: Voices in my head - Damien - January 18, 2015

Well... We might as well Powerplay Cicero...

----------------------------------------------------------- o -----------------------------------------------------------

Suddenly something started squeaking next to him, probably calling out for them. The shadow son was, off course, annoyed by this. He knew it had to be that smaller blob, she was always whining about something that little sissy. Couldn't she see that he was busy climbing the other sack of fat?

What he didn't know though, was that the littly whiny girl was actually seeing for the first time. That was a concept that wasn't on the charcoal cub's records, and so far, he didn't even know he would ever need it. It was yet another thing he had to discover.

Sadly, that wasn't going to happen today. for some reason, the eldest kid hadn't been the first to experience the light, and it didn't bother him, only because he didn't quite know what on hell was going on. So he too, squeaked in return to his sister, only his' was leaning more towards an annoyed growl. He was trying to go after mommy, and the snowy pup's whines weren't helpful at all.

RE: Voices in my head - Potema - January 19, 2015

The white girl whimpered in response to the growl she had received from her elder brother. It still was not clear to her that she was the only one with open eyes at the moment, so she simply wandered towards him and started nudging at his face. If he was looking for mother than he should already know that she wasn't here! But if he was looking to go outside to the light, she could not allow that to happen. She wanted to see it first.

The girl pushed at his face, with more feeling and force behind it, trying to get him in another direction so she would have the glory of the light all to herself. All the while, she was stepping on top of her other older brother, who was having a horrible day with both of his siblings piled on top of him. She had no concept of empathy yet, so she really did not care.

RE: Voices in my head - Cicero - January 21, 2015

*rolls back in*

Soon, Cicero was distracted by his brother running him over. It was a strange sensation: just as soon as Cicero had found that he had some control over the life he was given, that he could move wherever he wished to, he lost that control again, giving it up to, in this instance, his brother. Instead of being irritated by this, Cicero just started to laugh. In many children, laughter was something that needed to be encouraged by eager parents making approval-noises at the child, but not with Cicero. While his brother mowed him to the ground and wriggled over him to get on the other side, Cicero just laughed. Perhaps someone watching would conclude it was because his brother's movements were ticklish for him.

The fact that Cicero had little idea of proper responses was obvious when his sister piled on top of him, too. There was a lot of pressure on him now and his chest started to ache from the weight on top of him, but Cicero just kept making giggling noises, as if it didn't matter to him at all. Or maybe as if he was enjoying it.

The smallest brother's giggles made his own body vibrate, causing his belly tickle. Damien didn't like tickles. They were the most annoying thing someone could do to him, and every time mother tried it with him she ended up getting a cries instead of the usual giggles.

This time wasn't different. The charcoal pup slowly entered in tantrum mode, both because his mother had left them alone, and because brother was bothering him. The cries were high pitched, as much as he managed to rise them to get mommy back inside again, but she was probably already too far away to even notice the mixture of sounds that broke the den's silence.

Sister too had crawled on top of brother, and was now pushing him in another direction. This only intensified the volume of the whines, he protested, he wanted mommy. The result of the winter girl's pushes was Damien rolling down from his brother's back, and now his face was right behind his younger brother's butt. He really needed someone to wipe it clean... Which once again, only intensified the volume of the whines even more. Cicero was just too damn smelly.

RE: Voices in my head - Potema - January 25, 2015

Potema blinked curiously at the blurry forms all squirming in one big bundle. Cicero was making those strange giggling sounds, which unnerved her to no end. Damien, despite being the biggest, baddest and toughest of the trio, was whimpering like...well, a baby. Potema pouted, annoyed that her brothers were huge wusses who couldn't even see yet!

Huffing with what could be called annoyance, Potema's form wriggled to the light that cut through her dark world. Away from her squalling and giggling older brothers to find something better to play with.

RE: Voices in my head - Cicero - January 26, 2015

Cicero's laughing only intensified when Damien started to cry for their mother. It hurt a little to have both of his siblings on top of him, squirming all over him, but the pup didn't stop laughing. Damien only cried louder when he fell off Cicero (and next to his butt).

At least his sister and brother were off him, although to an onlooker it'd be unclear if that made Cicero happier, sadder, or if he didn't care at all; he was still laying on the floor laughing. It was hard to tell what the child's laughter meant.

Almost as though sensing his brother thought he was smelly, and wanting to further annoy him, Cicero let out a pretty darn smelly fart. And then he giggled some more.

RE: Voices in my head - Damien - February 02, 2015

Sorry guys! I've been really busy with school exams and non existent time to post :(
Please don't be mad at me :P

----------------------------------------------------------- o -----------------------------------------------------------

The whines coming from Damien's mouth suddenly stopped as a new wave of fetid smells struck him. It was unbelievable how darn smelly Cicero was being so young. The shock caused him to shut his eyes wide open for the first time, cracking his eyelids apart.

Whoa!

What the hell is that! And where the hell did that go! and who the hell is they! There were too many things to process at once and for a second he forgot about his brother's butt. His head looked at every single corner of the den, only to see a bunch of blurry things that didn't even make sense. But hey! That's more than he'd ever seen! The eldest son opened his little mouth wide open to gasp, but the fart had been too strong. The fetid air entered his mouth but it wouldn't pass though his throat, causing the pup to cough heavily. His survival instincts told him that he had to retread or he would die suffocated! Damien rolled and crawled away from his brother's butt and to his face instead, the eldest pup would administrate one of those warning little toothless bites again.

RE: Voices in my head - Potema - February 03, 2015

The determined little princess managed to make her way to the entrance/exit of the den. She squeaked with delight as she saw the blurred brightness of the world around her, and she was going to paw her way out and investigate the white blanket covering the snow when her head turned back at the muffled sound of coughing.

Intrigued by the new sound, the girl turned tail and crawled back down to her brothers, and squealed happily again at seeing the open eyes of her eldest sibling. For the moment he had blue eyes like her and their mother, and Potema focused her little sapphires on the ones owned exclusively by her brother.

RE: Voices in my head - Cicero - February 04, 2015

no problem! want to wrap this up since it's pretty old? :-) this is my last post at least. ^^

Finally the pressure went away, so it seemed that his actions, however unconscious, had taken effect. Cicero rolled onto his back and his tiny tongue lolled from the side of his mouth as he briefly opened his eyes (for the moment both a baby blue). He saw blurry forms, but soon squinted his newly opened eyes together again for a loooong yawn.

Growing tired from all of these news things, Cicero smacked his lips a times and closed his eyes again. He soon drifted off to sleep exactly where his brother had left him, a pleased smile on his tiny face.
