the prince who ran away - Hira - December 06, 2024

for @Arslan or @Samirseti !! joining vahanet ; trespassing

and she was back in the desert, now, on the prowl. leandros's scent was thick, and hira could feel her skin itching, her claws begging to tear into him, to drag him back to kaan and to say 'look at your son'. but she had to find him first, and so she would continue along the cooling, winter sands, fuelled by spite.

an oasis stood ahead. of course, she thought. only a place of such grandeur would be suitable for him. and so hira picked up the pace, heading straight towards the gathering of the scent. it was his and anothers. a man. so he made a friend, too. how lovely. and now he certainly will not want to return home. a roll of amber eyes.

hira walked over the borders with little care in the world. instead, she stopped a few ways within their claim and threw an angry head back, howl beckoning through the lands. if leandros did not recognise that call, then he was too far gone, and hira would return home, finally. she could only hope that he would go easily.

but she doubted it.

hoppin in!

The howl cut through the cool evening air like a blade. Samirseti’s ears swiveled, his golden gaze narrowing as he turned his head toward the sound. It was bold, intrusive—an unfamiliar voice daring to cry out within the heart of his growing claim.

His tail flicked once, as the irritation settled into him.

This one had brought herself past the scent marks with little regard. A faint smirk twisted at the corners of his lips. A brazen creature, he thought.

Rising smoothly from his place near the water, Samir set out toward the disturbance, his strides long as his dark figure cut across the sands. The oasis glimmered behind him, serene and untouched.

When he came upon her, she was exactly as her voice had promised—stalked with purpose, standing tall with a fierce amber gaze. A stranger, but one who carried the scent of another, faintly familiar, tangled with the sands and winds of distant lands.

He stopped a few paces away, his posture regal, commanding, as he regarded her with a mixture of curiosity and calculation. "You tread boldly," Samir remarked. "To cross the borders uninvited and cry out as though you command my sands."

Cameo for now <3 Samir can call him in if he wishess

He had heard the call from the comfort of his den, the air around him quickly growing tense and his fur bristling.

Hira.

Why had she come, of all his siblings? Their father treated his daughters like delicate flowers, and yet he was willing to send her all this way? Or worse, had she come on her own accord?

His pretty face settled into a scowl. This was his new start, his chance to escape. Arslan had wished to leave his past behind above all else.

it was a man of black and gold hue who approached her. irritation settled into her features ; her deepened brow, hooded gaze. her tail flicking back and forth in annoyance. i do not care for your sands. she replied, tone cool, snippy.

i can smell leandros on you. bring him to me. and perhaps this may go quickly.

Her words, cool and dismissive, sparked a slow-burning anger that flickered across his regal features. His lips curled slightly, revealing a glint of teeth as a low growl rumbled from his chest.

"You may not care for my sands," he began, "but you will respect them."

He stepped closer, his frame casting a shadow over the smaller woman as his teeth chattered briefly, a deliberate and menacing sound. His gilded eyes bore into hers, unyielding and full of quiet wrath. "You stand before a Pharaoh speaking with no courtesy, no grace. Do you think your demands carry weight here, woman?"

Samir’s tail flicked once, lazily, though the tension in his frame betrayed the simmering fury beneath his composed exterior.

He stepped even closer now, looming over her, his presence suffocating. "Bow," he said, simply, coldly.

"Show the respect you failed to bring with you, and I may consider unveiling the lion you seek." His lips curled into a sadistic smile. "Or leave. The choice is ever yours."

hira's gaze burnt into that of gold, unwavering, defiant. she would not relent, would not gift her respect to someone who had yet to earn it. her heart thrummed within her small chest, a betrayer of the weariness she truly felt, but it would go hidden.

i think kaan will not be happy to hear that his son is lazing around in an oasis with some man. the princess snapped back. her own nose bridge wrinkled, now. brows pulled closer together. and when he commanded her to bow, she stood tall, paws firm within the sand, body braced for impact, should he attempt anything.

his smile was met with a snarl. unfortunately that lion and i are of the same heritage. now, he will come to me, or i suppose babası will come drag him back to sienna himself. you care for him, yes? you would not want babası here.

the woman stood tall, now, adopting an unbothered expression. he does not take kindly to erkek yatakları. which, by the strength of her brothers scent on his pelt, he clearly was. hira scoffed, scanning him from head to toe.

Samir’s laughter rolled out low and dark. His gilded eyes met Hira’s defiant gaze without flinching, molten gold glinting with cruel satisfaction. She was a fool, as most were—a poor, ignorant woman grasping at a power she would never understand.

Her words were met with a sharp snap of his teeth, a rush of air brushing across her face, sweet and thick with Arslan’s scent. He was composed otherwise—a predator who had already decided the fate of his prey.

I fear no man,” Samir laughed, menace in his golden tone. “Your babası may come if he wishes. Let him step onto these sands, and he will meet his fate beneath the wrath of Ra and the strength of the Kingdoms bound by the Divine Ones. I am blessed, Pharaoh of the Lotus Sands, born of godblood, and I do not bow to mortal threats.”

His tail flicked once behind him. Then, lashed.

He shall go nowhere,” he spit, cutting. “You will not see him, nor speak to him, unless he chooses it. Should you try to defy me…

His voice dropped lower, cold and venomous. “I will kill you swiftly and let your body bake beneath the sun until your babası finds what little remains of his insolent daughter. The sands do not mourn, nor do I.”
