sierra - Moon Runner - December 14, 2024
Moon Runner rested in a small glen after having walked for many moons.
She nestled herself beneath a cove of spruce and gingerly picked packed snow out from between her toes.
I am not sure I like the lowlands, her spirit thought. It longed for the high peaks and cold wind of the Taiga. The basin had good hunting... but the beauty of the North was unparalleled.
I will walk to the mountains, her spirit decided. That is where I will howl.
For family. For future.
