start a riot - Lotus - December 20, 2024
Ice clung to the lands—frost tipping the dormant blades of grass while skiffs of snow feathered along the lake edges. Still, the waters themselves had not frozen—the lake os vast that Lotus was unsure if they ever would, especially with the waterfalls that churned movement among them.
A shiver coursed her spine for a moment—her honey-gold eyes drifting with open boredom along the banks of the fresh waters. Chuffing a sigh—she waded into the shallow depths, a sharp inhale of her breath taken as the shock of the cold pressed upon her.
Still, with delicate movements, she went only a little deeper before finding purchase on a rock perch. Crouching there—ignoring the winter’s bite of cold for now—the she-wolf watched the waters for fish.
A skill she wished to acquire—and despite the unfavorable temperature, determined no time was better than the present to do so.

feel. tired paws carry him to this lake, away from the dry desert where he had been several days ago. his stomach is full, as he happened upon carrion abandoned by its original killer. evenfall thanked sol for the gift, offering the god the last bite of food, as was his tradition.
look. ahead, he sees a wolf peering at the water. she is the color of the full moon, a reflection of sol's light. shadowy markings appear on every tip of her. from this angle, he does not see her eyes. he moves closer.
smell. he senses no packscent on her.
listen. in the water, he hears a splash, and he watches to see if she will attack her prey.
