meseba makes the trip back to the cenote, unsure of what awaits him. nerves needle at him as every step brings him back towards home, this time moving in the touch of the sun and slumbering in blankets of mosses and in the shade of trees during the shadows of night.
uncertainty holds itself tightly in his shoulders as he moves over the borders; steps faltering as he crosses the invisible scent threshold, golden gaze still hawkish despite being only one-eyed now.
