Tempête - Chacal - December 26, 2024
Life became quiet, but tension grew. Chacal could not help but wonder, as she walked along the shore, what to do with regards to the trial that could no longer take place. Not since their guilty party had disappeared. If there had been no other risks involved, then she might have let the matter be- and hoped that the wolves of Swiftcurrent might be willing to forget their losses.
Such was not the case. Among them, her son, her daughter, and her four grandchildren. If they truly wished to exact revenge, they could- and like any mother, she would spare her children misery if it was at all possible.
She felt her heart flutter as she roved across the borders. She said nothing to Mireille or Val, and she moved toward the sound as if to search for their missing Pearl.
Snow began to fall, in thick, heavy flakes. By the time she lost the scent of the briny air, her footprints would have been covered.
