happy new years!!
buzzards flew overhead. but they weren't circling her.
she laid at the banks, its cool waters soothing to a body that ached. no memory of how exactly she'd gotten here, but turning her gaze to the mesa answered all of her questions.
it was gone. the mesa stood. but its history, its people. nothing moved in the red palace. it was all swallowed by the god's thirst for blood.
racharra wails into her arms, alone.
