just came to say goodnight - Blue - January 01, 2025

This was a familiar fire in her veins —but no less frightening than it'd been the first time, and abruptly the world felt emptier than it ever had. Flight; the abandonment of her island, the silent beckoning of her soul's other half. @Cobalt would not be far behind her, she knew. But if he wanted her, he would have to catch her.
Night fell as she slipped through the bleeding forest, aware of the scents of other wolves. Blue paid them no mind. It wasn't enough of a pack to trouble her yet, though perhaps one day it would be. But today she spread her scent boldly through the woodland, wondering if a suitor would dare approach her.

in a garden of flowers, marauder only sought a singular one.
the scent of others passing through the forest and weaving threads of formation were not missed, just ignored. his steps were purposeful, his stride steady. he did not know of this land, but he knew what he desired from it.
the breeze guided him between trees and brush, and he slowed as he came upon the sight of her. there between two towering sentinels of the forest, marauder stood as if he were a stag. there he would watch and wait, and let her decide if this was a dare she wished to partake in.

The first to offer himself: a tall shadow, rosewood-carved between the trees like some ancient weatherworn tribute. The gleam in his green eyes was sharper, though; no monument, only a man. Blue knew what he wanted.
Pale ears pulled forward, betraying her interest, she stepped closer. Still she cast a critical gaze over his figure, searching for some flaw, some pedestal on which to mount her rejection. But the rosy sheen she felt over her eyes was truly more violent magenta; Blue could find no fault in him, blissfully ignorant of her own ignorance.
A smirk pulled at her lips, her expression more inviting now but perhaps still a touch skeptical.
Come to chase me out?Blue questioned playfully, aware that his scent was not among the sparse trails of the forest's regulars.

she was a creature of beauty, in an odd sort of haunting way.
marauder challenged a step closer, inhaling that divine aroma she carried about like a bewitching perfume. betwitched — yes, perhaps he had been. she the ghost in a foggy mist of temptation and he the victim to her snare.
his ears twitched at her voice, her smirk a teasing game. "chase?" he echoed, head tilting upwards as his lips pulled to a knowing grin. "do you wish me to chase you?"
and he would, should she command it.

A woman was here.
Her scent unmistakeably familiar cut through the pine sap of his forest. It had clung to the wenches and the women of the sea in his first winter, yet Nox had been too young back then to do anything more than watch it draw the men in close like an obedient fish on a line. He had seen it more times than he could count.
In his mind he knew what he must do, though his desire was fuelled not by manhood but by the ugly urge to exert control over she who stepped foot here. To possess. She reeled him in, until his advances were cut short by the scent of another. A man.
The captain revealed himself from the shadows, his pelt bristling and streaked with redsap. He gazed to her, a white dove in the murk, and then to him - a man that rivalled the sequoias themselves. A man that had beat him to it. Nox was no match for him, he knew, and yet a mixture of annoyance and arrogance compelled him to try. "Are ye gonna fuck her or shall I?"
