The honey-coated huntress stands in a snow covered field as the sun sets over her. Eyes are fixed ahead, her mind distant.
She thought to wait for them, but they did not come. She knows that they will haunt her mind until she finds them. There is more ground to cover.
Jaw clenched, Eydis glances back to Forneskja. She knows that in truth there is nothing they will offer her. They offer no status, no true comfort, and they cannot bring back her children.
She tried, truly, but maybe she was never meant for pack life.
Paws itch to move forward. Her head turns forward, and she begins her trek north-west.
