mist - Rain Cloud - January 05, 2025
a break in the weather gives more visibility to the traveler. she seeks the shelter of mist-covered trees, her shape climbing the ridge line until the earth flattens in to a proper plateau.
from here she can see far; nothing is familiar, and she worries.
the sound of her sister's calls have faded. had she taken a wrong turn? when had she last heard the songs? she cannot remember. pacing, now — she worries at the stone escarpment as she tries to make up her mind on what to do next. stay? go?
her head tips back, she calls out.
