He stayed long in this neck of the woods, rendered speechless every new day by their sprawling beauty.
Poems formed as he wandered. Nothing near as pretty as the marvels which inspired them, but what could ever match their splendor, or even come close?
The winter felt milder here than the ones on the north, and the time once spent on survival lent itself to artistic pleasures. Adrian spent the time willingly, contentedly, and regardless how crude in form his musings were, he sang. Presently, of cold weather flowers poking through mid-winter snow.

the lingering warmth of his recent wedding still clung to him like a second pelt, his golden eye carrying a brightness that hadn’t dimmed since the ceremony.
góðan dag,he rumbled, his voice steady and welcoming. he stopped a respectful distance away, studying the man with a curious tilt of his head. the faint remnants of song carried on the breeze, and a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
a rare thing,he remarked, gesturing lightly to the snow-dappled ground around them.
to find one singing of flowers in the dead of winter.his gaze lingered for a moment, measuring, before he added,
