greed - Oziah - February 11, 2025 for @Crowell !!
between oziah's jaws sat a floundering catfish, its squishy gills flapping and begging for oxygen. he reveled in the struggle of the hunt — feeling death between his teeth. crushing something smaller than you, or even larger depending on the animal; the way his blood spikes when the last light leaves the eyes of his prey. he chased it, that feeling, everywhere he went. the fish fell limp after thirty seconds. oziah counted. he dropped it at his feet, smoothed down the gills, and flipped it upon its back; his claw raked cleanly through the belly and water erupted from the wound, spilling pink fluid all over the sand and gravel. he lapped at it as if it were from the teat of a goddess. salty, metallic, fishy. just the way he liked it. his meal would be enjoyed in peace — so he thought. RE: greed - Crowell - February 11, 2025 crowell explodes from the treeline, yelping and cursing, fur bristling like a porcupine. fuckin’ wasps! bloody demons! he barrels toward the river and hurls himself in with a massive splash. cold water surges around him, and he immediately submerges, muffling his furious yelling. surfacing with a gasp, his eyes are wild, water streaming from his fur. bastards must’ve been hidin’ in some dead tree! middle o’ fuckin’ winter! who ever heard o’ that?! crowell thrashes and shivers, his tail flicking angrily through the water. he spits out a stream of curses between choking breaths, completely ignorant to the man who’d just been trying to enjoy his meal. RE: greed - Oziah - February 19, 2025 it was silent until it wasn't. oziah didn't move. his eyes locked upon the individual that came hurling from the woods like a bat out of hell, judgment seeping into the scowl that bled across his features. what kind of coward ran away from wasps? blinking incredulously, the man grunted and reached a paw over his kill in order to protect it, in case this was all just a ploy for thievery. what on god's green earth are you doin', boy? RE: greed - Crowell - February 24, 2025 crowell shakes his head violently, water flying in every direction as he sputters out a breath. wasps—fuckin’ wasps—still buzzin’ in his skull like they’re burrowed in there. he starts to curse again but stops, flame-bright eyes finally landing on the man by the riverbank. stiff, scowling, sitting over some half-gutted fish like it’s a goddamn treasure hoard. what’s it look like, boy?crowell snaps. i’m drownin’ meself fer fun. real good time, ye should try it.he snorts afterwards, water drippinh from his chin, then kicks a paw through the shallows just to make a splash. don’ mind me, aye? just coolin’ off after a friendly tussle with nature’s most vengeful bastards. he watches the man’s grip tighten over his fish, and his grin cuts wide. hah—ye think i’m after yer sorry excuse fer a meal? RE: greed - Oziah - March 04, 2025 the fiery man spoke in a seaside accent that was unfamiliar, his gaze dagger-like. he barked and thrashed and sent a shower of murky water into the air. oziah instinctively scrunched his face.
he seemed harmless enough, despite the obvious air of 'one wrong move and i'll beat you to a pulp' that he carried. not that it'd be cause for too much concern. oziah had already confidently determined that he could handle it if a fight broke out. for now, he'd take the free entertainment. y'ain't got nowhere better t'be?oziah drawled in innocent question, tongue lashing out from between his teeth and flicking up over his nose. then again, i s'pose i don't neither. |
