Rhyming names - Kaname - December 28, 2014

@Cara @Mara Set before we choose who is the new alpha

Yet another alpha has stepped down, though this time, he was still her. Mordecai's reasonings for giving up the throne were unknown to him, but at least he was still here. At least he didn't die. Or run off. But now, the throne was open again, and Cara was intending to be queen yet again. But it seemed to him that she did not truly mind this time if she became the alpha or not, which he was fine with.

But there was one obstacle, one thorn in Cara's side that needed to be removed regardless if she was alpha or not. Mara. The two had gotten into a fight a while back, after he had mated with her. With him becoming her mate and trying to get her pregnant, the assassin had become even more protective of Cara, and was rightfully angered when he saw her wounds.

He sat by the lake, mulling this situation over. What should he do? He couldn't just kill her yeshecould without causing a fuss. The Beta would just have to settle for a stern talking to then. The dark male tipped his head back and howled for the insubordinate, and when he finished his call, he wondered if Cara would be curious as to why he summoned her rival.

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - December 28, 2014

no table because I'm posting on an iPad -- I definitely like my laptop better xD
Seeing the road to the top suddenly cleared for her when she had just renounced was like receiving a punch to the gut for the yearling, who was just beginning to grasp the mysterious principles of life that dictated that whatever it was you desired would fly out of reach every time --that until, you stopped seeking. Whatever type of black magic that made the world turn like that was as repugnant as it was wonderful.
Though she held her deal with Mordecai still pure in her heart she could not help but wander if this sudden change in her Alpha would lead to a change in his decisions.
Not in the sense that it'd affect their arrangement -- but the way he had viewed her as.

Could it be that her incapable hands had suddenly turned into what the Spine needed?
Maybe.
Hopefully

Now as Cara scouted the little clearing surrounding the den she'd soon share with Kaname, she heard his voice rise through the air carrying the sound of her name into her ears along with.. what the fuck!. The little smile that had crawled into her features faded into a frown as she heard the Beta pronounce the bitch's name along with her own.

With her face contorted into a frigid scowl she attended her mate's calling, her tail always swishing defensively over her back as she approached him, waiting to see if the insolent 'obstacle' she had to mop the ground with would dare to show.

No wait.
Obstacle was too small of a word.
Mara was not only an obstacle for Cara, she was like the rock in her shoe that always made her cringe as she walked. Despite the funny similarity on the syllables of their names, Cara and Mara were completely incompatible, something that had been proved very well during their first encounter, more so when the pale yearling had to be the one teaching the girl rules of subordination.

In his eyes she saw his worries; and though she was afraid a part of her shared them her most egotistical portion of her kept claiming the female was nothing against her, what Kaname described as obstacle, for Cara was a barrier that would sooner or later be forced to crumble.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - December 29, 2014

Surprise flitted through Mara's lithe body when she heard her beta's voice ring through the woods summoning her along with Cara. What could he possibly want that was enough for him to bring her and Cara to the same place? With her and Cara being anything but friendly, the young russet wolf had yet to find out that the beta and soon to alpha were mates.

Dropping what she had been doing, she padded off in the direction the howl had come from. Along the way her head swam with thoughts, her over analyzing mind cherishing the chance to make her fret.

What if I get demoted? Or kicked out? Or, what if they kill me?!

The little snippets of worry quickened her step and in the process she tripped on a small stick hidden beneath the snow and took a face plant. Thank goodness the snow padded her fall, or she would have a pretty sore nose.

Shaking the snow out of her crimson fur, she continued on her way. The young girl realized she was trembling slightly and frowned. She couldn't let her beta see her like this, let alone Cara. She would not be seen as weak. That was not an option when it came to the nasty she wolf. She needed to show Cara that even though she was a lower ranking wolf, she would not tolerate being treated like shit.

Coming out of the woods and nearing the lake, she spotted the two wolves sitting further down. Picking up her speed she trotted towards them, a half smile on her face. It was directed to Kaname, as she was doing her best to ignore the pale she wolf at the moment.

RE: Rhyming names - Kaname - December 29, 2014

Cara arrived first, visibly displeased by the fact that he had summoned her rival, Mara as well. The assassin went over to her first and licked her forehead, in-between her ears. "I'm trying to help you resolve this problem, alright?" He murmured softly, trying to get that tail of hers to stop waving so angrily.

The assassin turned from his mate when Mara came, a small smile directed towards him. He huffed and parted from Cara's body to face the red-furred female. Kaname flitted his gaze from the both of them before speaking. "I want to address this little fight between you two." He began, taking the mantle of mediator for the moment. "Cara is soon to be the new alpha. I am her mate. You will have very powerful enemies if you continue this squabble. I suggest to you that you end it, be it by submitting to Cara or leaving."

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - January 01, 2015

Cara was less than pleased to be summoned and she didn't hesitate to show it. Not even Kaname's gentle kiss on the crown of her could stop her from expressing her discomfort, with gestures as well as vocally. Though she received his gesture with no more than a low exhale, she was quick to pull away, her pale eyes holding an unreadable expression as they waited for her homonym archenemy to arrive. I don't need you to do that She muttered through gritted teeth, her voice still soft and delicate as it has always been with him.

Though she really wanted to say she didn't need him to even get in the way of her and Mara she bit her tongue, knowing that Kaname had been her right hand since her first rise to power, and that through his undying loyalty he had proved he wanted the best for her. Besides wasn't this whole mate-ship thing about compromise and helping and giving? If it meant making him happy while holding the possibility of scolding and humiliating the girl, maybe Cara could give it a try.

And speaking of the devil.
Like she had had some kind of cue, the infamous bitch walked into the scene, her eyes never daring to meet Cara's face, or figure. Well bad news for her, acting as if she were a ghost won't spare her from the haunting she'd receive. With her lips curling upwards slightly to reveal her shining teeth she watched the female interact with Kaname, daring to give him a smile right under her own nose!
Maybe it was the newly acquired titles they had set onto one another, or maybe just the fact she was completely pissed off, but never had Cara felt more possessive over another wolf, over a man.

Even if she was sure the assassin would rather skin her than get into her fugly skin, she could not help but feel a rush of hot fury climb up her esophagus as she watched the girl look at him with those idiotic eyes of hers. It was then that Kaname began to speak, mentioning not only their status as a couple (something that would have made Cara uncomfortable if it were on another situation) but the fact that soon, she would again rise to her throne; where she belonged.

And I don't tolerate insubordination . She barked sharply, whilst holding her gaze straight into the female's eyes.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - January 01, 2015

Hearing Cara speak, seeing her fat ass held up in a throne that shouldn't belong to her, it all sent a rush of disgust and hate flowing through Mara's lithe body. What had she been thinking? That she would stay here and be happy under the bitches rule? As if. And that's when she decided. She would not stand for this shit, not after all the grueling lessons she had suffered through that had told her she could not let dirty pigs take over.

With her newfound plan, she turned and face the ugly thing, meeting her pissed yellow eyes, with her own confident, stormy ones. A smirk pulled at her lips and showed off her sharp fangs. It felt good to see just how angry she made Cara. Her eyes glittered with disgust as she watched every flicker of movement in Cara's fury filled eyes.

"Well it's good I don't answer to you anymore, you fat bitch." She replied, her voice filled with disgust but still tinged with satisfaction.

Turning her raging, stormy grey eyes back to Kaname, the young russet wolf spoke again. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'd much rather leave than be a part of this pack. It will surely crumble under her rule." she barked smugly, turning away from the pair, prepared to make her exit if they didn't have anything else they needed to say. Who was she kidding, she didn't care what they had to say.

RE: Rhyming names - Kaname - January 02, 2015

And the truce offer he had crumbled to dust before his eyes. The moment the words fat bitch exited Mara's mouth, Kaname lost all reason. A deep snarl came from the depths of his soul, and his cold blue eyes reached 0 degrees Kelvin. Perfect zero.

The assassin lunged forward, a primitive growl emitting his mouth as he aimed for the insubordinate woman's throat, either to grab her scruff and push her down, or to rip it open. He did not care what happened, only that the bitch stopped talking shit about his wife? mate.

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - January 02, 2015

do you want to do dice rolls to determine damage and defends in the Miscellaneous Dice Roll thread? Since there is no way they would let her walk out without attacking haha :p

It was not the situation or heavy tension lingering between them what Cara could not stand, it was the female's sickening overconfidence and her thoughts she was the best when she was really just a piece of crap that had proved to have absolutely no clue about how a pack functioned. With her lips still drawn back and the bridge of her muzzle wrinkled to form a nasty snarl, the yearling awaited the female's answer -- not at all surprised when instead of taking her chance to surrender and hold on to the inexistent bit of dignity she had she began to blabber senseless obscenities; which to Cara's ears sounded like nothing but bullshit.
But again what could be expected of her, she was a talking piece of shit wasn't she.

Despite Cara's evident slim build Mara still went on to call her 'fat', when really it would be a couple of months added with other things, before she showed any signs of incrementing her sides. But of course poor malnourished bitch Mara would see her as fat -- the poor girl had an air-swelled head that only made her look skinnier.
So sad.

But now there as no time to feel pity (considering Cara was able of such); with the same speed in which Mara's mouth sputtered crap her words the soon-to-be Queen of the Ouroboros let out a ripping growl of her own. I'll hang your nasty head on the door of my den She growled, her maw widening as she followed in her mate's steps to sink her teeth into the female's face.

If she wanted to get away from the Spine she'd have to survive her 'farewells' first. Suddenly the scene reminded her of her confrontation with the Isle traitor, Majesty, in the beginnings of Autumn. Cara had killed the fucker by gouging his eyes out, but what fun would using the same method be?
Let's shake things up.
With savage snarls erupting from her chest and her teeth snapping around the female's head, she dove for one of the female's ears, all intents of clenching her jaws and ripping it off clear in her mind.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - January 03, 2015

I rolled here :)

Not surprised at the pairs reaction, the small russet wolf was ready for their incoming fangs. This was just the reaction that she wanted and a smirk fell across her own jaws. She didn't care if she got a little battered on her way out, just as long as she could bring them to the ground eventually.

Knowing that Kaname would have a little more mercy, the agile girl chose to dodge Cara's fangs instead, putting her in closer proximity to the beta males snapping maw.

Feeling a bit rebellious(more than usual) the little warrior decided it would be a good idea to give the pair something to remember her by when she was gone. While she was still to0 far away from them to reach with her fangs, she still had her claws. She slashed out with the speed of lightning to try and snag her claws in Kaname's dark ear before he reached her.

The whole way, the smirk stayed on her dark lips as she watched Cara get more and more aggravated. The stupid bitch sure had a temper. That would be her downfall in the end.

RE: Rhyming names - Kaname - January 03, 2015

I rolled a four on the attack, 8 on the dodge

The woman focused more on dodging Cara's blow, and even so, Kaname's attack missed. He was prepared to make another, but the bitch tried to score a blow on his ear, which he dodged with ease.

Kaname had nearly received a mark from Mara, while it would have been small and insignificate, the near hit only served to fuel to man's anger. He hissed in rage and attacked low, aiming for the woman's legs to get her off her feet.

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - January 04, 2015

rolled Here

In the midst of the madness and chaos, the bitch was miraculously able to avoid the Queen's jaws. As she felt the tufts of the targeted ear slip easily form her reach Cara emitted a nasty growl from the depths of her chest -- which continued to grow stronger as she realized that in order to avoid her merciless blows the idiotic fuck was inching closer to Kaname. While Cara would have liked to yell she was a coward by directing her blows to him alone when it was with her who she had a problem she remained silent, eager to prove to herself as well as the bitch that the title of assassin was not one he wore just for the fun of it.

It was then, as she tried to reciprocate his attack by lifting her paw towards him, that Cara decided she would not only hang her head in the doorstep of her den but also use her skin as a 'welcome' mat, so every time she stepped inside her home she'd have something to clean the dirt of her paws.
Then she could be finally treated as the disposable rag she truly was.

With her lips drawn back to reveal a menacing snarl she lunged forward once more, holding on to her stubborn desire of ripping her to shreds right then and there, or leaving her crippled so that she'd die of natural causes later on. While she had initially aimed for the bitch's throat, the sudden trashing and brusque movements of her victim made the trajectory of her blow take another course, this time towards her shoulder; though this never changed the intentions of breaking through her skin and using her grip to shove the bitch into the floor (again).

Cara had temper.
And a bad one once you bothered her, but at least she also had the sense and intelligence to know not to mess with two pissed off wolves in their own turf.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - January 04, 2015

I rolled a 2 on the dodge of Kaname's attack, a 6 on the dodge of Cara's attack and a 1 on the attack on Cara. But if Kaname's attack was only a 4, doesn't it mean it failed?

While the small russet girl was luckily able to avoid Cara's snapping jaws for a second time, she wasn't fast enough to dodge her minions as well. His teeth hooked her legs out from under her and she fell to the ground with an oof, the breath slightly being knocked out of her.

The adrenaline that was rushing through her veins fueled her to try another attack while she was still at a disadvantage on the ground. She stretched her paw out towards Cara's leg, her dagger sharp claws stretching to rip through the fur. But she missed. Her paw fell short and she tried to jump to her paws instead.

RE: Rhyming names - Kaname - January 12, 2015

Oh, I think I did that wrong before. I rolled for the attack on my third post (when I start the attacking), not the one I last made. I roll a 5 for that, so it landed either way. For the current attack I roll 8 (oh dear tell me if you want me to change this)

He had gotten her down, and while she attempted to land another blow on his mate, it barely made a scratch. The assassin sneered, eyes flashing around her body to make an impression on the rebel. Something she would not forget.

He decided on her eye, but not to pull it out. His claws glinted in the sunlight as he extended them, placing one sharp knife on the bottom of her ear, then dragged it down, all the way to the corner of her mouth. He did it slowly and meticulously, so that she experienced all the pain and would have a scar that would never go away.

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - January 12, 2015

oh snap! also you can have Mara try to escape now since the minor injures I assume have been made, you could roll for attempted escape or stick around for more ;) your call
rolled an eight success

The Spine had turned into a battle ring.
And while the vast expanse of land tended to rest in silence, today the demons had been woken and as the three wolves fought savagely against each other, the crests of the characteristic mountain range that gave the pack its name began to simply echoe and amplify the vicious cries and snarls that were ensued.

While Kaname managed to make the bitch fall flat on her face, Cara swerved to the other side of her trashing form, always seeking to find the right time and place to strike the offender's throat. As she moved she noticed the pathetic attempt she made to reach her with the tip of her claws while still being held by the assasin.

She parted her mouth to reveal a menacing snarl and without hesitation or warning she lunged, her teeth aimed at the flesh on the female's scruff at the nape of her neck. Again she seeked to shove the bitch's face to the floor, and scrape her filthy mouth against the floor. If she would not apologize for her insolent behavior, Cara would make her swallow her words -- or in this case some dirt.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - January 12, 2015

Okay, so Mara is going to have a badass eye scar ;P I rolled a 5 for success on her escape, also is it okay if her actual eye isn't damaged? I don't really want her to be blind...

Mara screeched like a banshee when Kaname's claw ripped the flesh around her eye, her own blood temporarily blinding her. In the midst of her pain, she hoped that her scream at least gave the two dumb asses hearing damage.

Hot blood streamed down the side of her face as she thrashed wildly at her attackers, trying to find a way out. She finally managed to escape their grasp and she pelted down the side of the lake, her paws spraying pebbles at the pair. That was an added bonus. But she couldn't let them get away without at least threatening them a bit. By the way Kaname had been super protective of Cara, she couldn't help but wonder if she held his pups. That would be an interesting turn of the tables.

When she was a safe distance away from them, she stopped and turned to face them, her fur matted with blood and her eyes deadly. "You little mutts will regret ever messing with me. Trust me, I will be back. And by then, you will have little, ugly pups just begging to be stolen." she barked, a maniac smile on her face. They were in for some serious trouble. They had no idea what she was capable of.

And with a final eerie howl, the blood red girl turned on her paws and headed into the trees, the promise of revenge the only thing keeping her from collapsing right there on the water worn pebbles.

RE: Rhyming names - Kaname - January 17, 2015

I envisioned something exactly like you have on your avatar. :P

He had winced at the piercing octave of her scream, but it didn't stop him from finishing the scar, even if she got away. The assassin turned his head to protect his own eyes from the rocks, but licked the bloodied claw mockingly at Mara.

Kaname snarled, his eyes blazing blue fire with fury at the threat on his unborn pups. The assassin stepped forward, fur rising to make him look twice his size. "If you dare lay a finger on my pups I will tear both of your eyes out and stuff them down your mouth before I rip your throat open!" He yelled at the quickly disappearing figure, hoping that the bloodied girl heard his macabre message.

RE: Rhyming names - Cara - January 17, 2015

The bitch's screechy whines did little to the enraged yearling who continued to seek the female's flesh with her outstretched jaws; but using the same technique of a cowardly pest the female trashed around, liberating herself from their grasp as she limped away. The taste of blood mixed with the small remains of her fur clinging to the Spine Queen's mouth was an exquisite victory, but even if they had proved themselves trimphant, it was not as delightful as having her lifeless body at her feet would have been.

With her lips curling back to reveal bloodied fangs Cara howled into the night sky, letting everyone of the Spine wolves know that no longer, or even would the wolf Mara be allowed in their grounds. In between the announcement rode a serious threat, a cold command for everyone of her wolves: Kill her at sight.

It was then that the loser's angry threat reached the female's ears, causing only more hatred and rage to build up inside the aspiring-mother's body. I'll have your head as trophy she promised as she flashed past the growling assasin and behind the small bitch.
Unlike Kaname, Cara would resign to watch her stumble away, she'd chase her personally off pack lands so that the cold and her injuries could consume her or she'd kill her off with her own force; whichever came first.
This was an offense the grudgeful Queen would never give Mara the luxury of forgetting.

RE: Rhyming names - Mara - January 18, 2015

She chuckled at Cara's petty threat as she rushed out of her grasp, keeping at a pace to stay just in front of the angry bitch's reach. It was satisfying to see their anger and how much she got under their skin. Even the throbbing pain in her eye didn't stop her from letting out a loud laugh at the thought of them attempting to hurt her. Not today bitches, not ever.

"In your dreams, darling, in your dreams." she taunted in a sing song voice as she got closer and closer to the border.
