dark fang stays close to @Sun Eater, a constant presence by his side. he watches, unwavering, as his brother struggles to heal. hours pass in silence, the only sound the steady rhythm of dark fang’s breath and the occasional rustling of fur.
when the time comes, dark fang rises. reluctant to leave, but his legs tire and he itches to move. his tongue wet by an urge to patrol. but before he leaves, he looks down once more at his brother.
every crack of a branch, every rustle in the brush, is met with a quick glance, a silent assessment. nothing escapes him. nothing goes unnoticed.

these Wilds were easy pickings.
terrestrial beasts were often slaughtering one another, and quapnuk was there to clean up the mess. it was a job to which he was uniquely suited—one which brought him not only a full belly, but a deep joy.
he winged overhead of this settlement, mindful of the caribou mostly, but it was wolf blood that flared and spiced this space.
the shadow of his silhouette moved to dance across the sleeping place of something dying.
