Pokoj - Frenu - April 12, 2025 All welcome, as always!
Whatever you're up to, come on over, eheh! Since arriving in these lands, Frenū had scarcely found a moment to rest. There was so much to do, so much to uncover—and thus far, he could proudly say that fortune had smiled upon him, granting him the chance to share countless moments of camaraderie with strangers who, in his eyes, had become brothers and sisters. Strengthened by these newfound bonds and the adventures they had brought, Frenū had continued his journey, now making his way to the Quarry, where he hoped to find a place of quiet respite. The path leading to the pools of fresh, crystalline water was no easy one—but it was, at least, less treacherous than the summit he had climbed just days before. At last, he reached the shimmering expanse and slid into the water, releasing a long, contented sigh. Eyes closed, a faint smile playing on his lips, he stretched out, surrendering to the pool’s bracing, restorative chill. One ear twitched—alert, attuned to the subtle shift of sound. A presence… faint, perhaps distant, yet unmistakable. In his deep voice, he called out: Come, my brother, my sister! Cold water will heal your tired muscles!Even before knowing who might answer, he was already extending an invitation to share in the stillness. RE: Pokoj - Chunk - April 13, 2025 Lumbering creature, massive and silent all the same, comes into sight. Not necessarily the expected company of the small wolf who calls from within. However it is not the wolf that has captured his interest today, but rather the pools of water within the quarry. They appear so clean, so appetizing, that glancing from above the bear could not help but want to take a sip - maybe a bath too, if he had time. Pausing to look to the canine, he only grunts before beginning towards the closest pool. RE: Pokoj - Frenu - April 15, 2025 ooh! Cool! Can't wait to write with you ;u;
A towering beast had come to join him. At first taken aback, Frenū had risen to his feet, then merely observed it in silence. The creature had offered a deep, rumbling growl—something the dwarf interpreted as a warning, though a smile still curled on his lips. On another day, he might have relished the chance to track such a colossal creature, daring to dream of triumph in a clash against it. But today, he had come seeking rest. Ah, ah!he laughed, letting himself slip once more beneath the surface of the water. No doubt you've had a long day yourself.A grin tugged at the corners of his mouth, his ears flicking with idle amusement. Do you speak my tongue? Or perhaps another?were such creatures capable of language—of thought? In his brief life, Frenū had encountered some who spoke readily, and others, like wild wolves stripped of all soul, who remained mute and feral. Strange beasts, all of them. The untamed world was ever full of surprises. RE: Pokoj - Chunk - April 15, 2025 Same here! Frenu immediately caught my interest XD
He was met with no hostility. What a strange little wolf - it even seemed to wish to speak with him. Settling into a pool after he had gotten his drink, his eye remained fixed on the other. Wolf.. talk much.His speech, scattered and accented by a supposed bearspeak, came rumbling from his throat. Whether or not the wolf would understand him he never knew, but nonetheless it seemed to keep the creatures backed off when he finally piped up. Admittedly he was interested in this one. He had never seen a canine with such a peculiar shape. RE: Pokoj - Frenu - April 17, 2025 Also, feel free to PP or do anything else you have in mind if you want to! I really don’t mind at all.
So the colossal creature could speak—rudimentary words, perhaps, but intelligible nonetheless, despite a pronounced accent. Then again, who among us was without one? It was a wonder in itself that a common tongue existed at all among so many diverse beings. Frenū had laughed, more softly this time. I have a tendency to talk too much, I’ll admit,he confessed, one ear tilted toward the bear as he allowed his muscles to ease in the cold water. I have the flaw of being curious. You too, my friend, or you would’ve left by now.He reached up to scratch his chin, contemplative. Or perhaps you would’ve already killed me. It’s certain I’d be much less talkative...he added with a light, joyful laugh. It’s not every day I come across a bear… To be honest, where I’m from, we don’t usually stop to chat if we’re lucky enough to stumble upon one of your kind…He began, in half-tones, to confess a truth far less light than his words suggested. RE: Pokoj - Chunk - April 18, 2025 The wolf's words seemed to trigger a laugh of sorts from the bear, a growling rumble that only showed his amusement through the slight narrowed corners of his dark eyes. Lifting a paw to the canine's approximate height, it was clear why he was so amused. He knew all too well that small creatures could still pack a harsh punch. This one reminded him of a lynx or maybe a wolverine, the latter of which the bear knew well were not to be messed with. He had felt the wrath of those claws enough times to know better. Wolverine.He spoke the word with a strange confidence, no context added. It was decided that this was what he would call the wolf. Though 'Little Wolf' was the obvious nickname, there was already another which he had named as such. |
