the sword in the stone - Galathiel - May 06, 2025 Keshi had been right; the southlands were rich with prey of all shapes and sizes. Galathiel caught the scent of mice, rabbits, and deer as he strode beneath the boughs of old, gnarled trees. But that was not what he was after. The Knight knelt besides a fresh pile of elk droppings, nostrils flaring as he breathed in the scent of the beast. It was large, by the size of the dung pile. Far above his head, scars had been carved into the bark where antlers had scraped the lichen living there. A stag. His tail twitched in anticipation, shoulders rolling as he began to follow the trail through the underbrush. A prize of this magnitude was worth scouting for at least, even if he could not fell it alone. Galathiel half-hoped a soul would join him. RE: the sword in the stone - Haedwig - May 08, 2025 The old woman was finally on her way home. She hoped that the queen would be back by now too, and she could rest without the worry of Makhai of Lilith shaking her from her sacred 'beauty' sleep. Spotting a stranger from their back, she made her approach slow. She wasn't exactly timid of strangers, unless they were acting strangely.. and this one was checking out a pile of dung. She knew it was likely a hunting tactic of sorts, but not one Haedwig was all that familiar with. You alright there? She spoke after a moment, creaking bones slowing to a halt. She couldn't help but be nosy. |
