A whole new world - Nagamo - June 18, 2025 The sun rose and set, and limbs stretched and grew. Nagamo’s world was now one of light and sound. Her mother’s warm golden fur was never far, but the sunlight that filtered in from outside called to her. With surprising steadiness, she ventured to the entrance of the den, nosing curiously at the blades of grass and flowers that grew just outside. A small white butterfly was perched on a bright yellow dandelion. Nagamo, having never seen such a creature before, stared at it with wide-eyed fascination. She let out a tiny yip—perhaps calling her siblings to come and see the critter for themselves, or perhaps simply out of excitement. RE: A whole new world - Biskane - June 19, 2025 Biskane had already been awake, staring at the glowing orb of the den mouth when she noticed her sister, Nagamo, move. She, herself, had not dared to approach the glowing orb, yet; nerves and excitement somehow rooted her within the den walls, despite how she yearned to touch that light, to feel it. She let out a small whine as the mouth seemed to swallow her sister, Nagamo’s silhouette pausing momentarily to let out a small yip. The sound was a surge of urgency, a plea for her body to move—and it did. Biskane rose, paws a tad too big slapped the floor of the den as she scrambled to reach her sister. The light grew closer, warmth greeting her, bathing her in a gentle morning light. It was nothing like she thought it would be—it was not a physical orb that she saw, nor was it something that would consume her and her family. She bumped shoulders with Nagamo, a flick of a lick to the girl’s cheek in greeting. Biskane had noticed her sister’s intense observation, causing Biskane to follow Nagamo’s gaze with her own. There, on a dainty, yellow thing was another…thing. It was pretty, white, and it looked fragile. Bending, she sniffed, testing to see if it held a scent like her. |
