A dream is a wish your heart makes - Ahna - July 29, 2025

This is meant to be a dream. What Ahna see's and hears is not necessarily something she can pass on nor explain.  I have been given permission from Ebony to write for Kukutux's spirit in Ahna's dreams.

The nights had been peaceful, and even though Ahna could not understand the dreams she had, some would be more memorable than others. And this was one of them....

Ahna had been standing before a Great Lake; It was Anik lake, although this was unknown to her. She had looked down at her reflection, dipping her delicate toes into the water, creating ripples that distorted her face. She laughed, continuing to marvel at the water's natural magic. However, when her reflection came to settle this time, what she saw made her bright blue eyes widen: Her face’s reflection had turned white, with bright, emerald eyes, which looked back at her. The bright face wore a loving smile, and Ahna couldn't help but wonder; Who was this woman?

Then, she heard a voice, gentle and kind, echoing: "Aluu, Ahna."

Ahna looked up, and above the center of the lake stood a grand white wolf; Her green eyes shining, her coat glowing brightly. The specter came closer, standing before Ahna, at the water's edge, just before the shore. Ahna stood still in awe, lightly trembling. She was not afraid, just unsure; overwhelmed.

“Do not be afraid, child. I am Kukutux. I am aana. Your grandmother.” Moonwoman reached to touch her grandchild, to stroke her delicate face with her paw.

The stranger spoke; revealing that she was Ahna’s grandmother. And as soon as her aana touched her, she relaxed, laying her head against the gentle paw of Moonwoman. The woman then drew her into a warm embrace, and Ahna felt the love pouring from her aana.

Piqpagigikpiñ Kukutux cooed as she held her granddaughter close, “I love you, Ahna.”

Then, everything disappeared, and Ahna woke up. So many thought ran through her little head, even though she didn’t know what to do with them. She looked around the dark den, checking to see if there was a white wolf among them. Alas, there was not. And she settled back down, and drifted off again.
