I just crave protection for my ball of perfection - Eydis - July 31, 2025
On day like this, it was impossible for even Eydis to be down.
The sun was bright, meadowlarks flapped and chirped, and she had successfully taken a mule deer fawn for herself. At this time of year they were growing too heavy to reasonably carry, Eydis instead eating her fill before taking her leave.
Eydia opted to linger nearby, not necessarily a smart idea for a wolf on her own but she felt possessive nonetheless. Once her pride fizzled out she would likely leave, there was no sense in remaining here, but until then she made herself comfortable in the tall grass. A young meadowlark sat just out of her reach, chirping at her as though it were teasing.
You're quite loud,was all she mustered up in return. It was hard to be upset with such a little bird.
