Silence - Rodyn - August 20, 2025

There were no work songs. No puppies engaged in play. Moinglow was quiet. An unease beneath the surface. Rodyn worked. He hunted he gathered furs for trade. He dried fish. But what if no one came. The teekon seemed silent, dead unseen.

RE: Silence - Raindrop - August 20, 2025

Raindrop had left Ludo with her daughter, who was happy to care for him. She had decided to go on a small hunt, to help contribute to the food caches.

Within two hours time, she managed to score 3 rabbits, and some fish from the lake. She wrapped it all up in a small fur pelt, and carried it back toward the cache.

This was when she came across Rodyn, who was quiet, tending to his own tasks. She walked up beside him, greeting him with a chuff. “It’s a beautiful day.” She stated, then asked “How are you doing?” There was a caring tone in her voice.

Rodyn was pleased that others hunted. But part of him wondered what were they hunting for. But then he forced himself to push that sadness away. They must hold heads high. Continue. Perhaps it would get better. Maybe?

Rodyn lifted his head to the soft familiar voice. Dipped his head. She had been with them since the beginning and here still besides. That spoke for something.

Hello Raindrop. Im alright. Just hunting.

"I'm glad to hear that." Raindrop replied. "Well, I hope I made today's hunting trip a little easier on you." She set the furry bundle down, revealing the rabbits and fish. She always did her best to help provide. She was a caretaker of sorts, always looking to help others.

"Even though my children are almost grown, and nearly self-sufficient, I've been putting my idle energy towards hunting and gathering."

RE: Silence - Rodyn - October 17, 2025

Rodyn smiled at the small fur. And gave a soft chuckle of delight as they prey animals fell from inside. She had done well, but Raindrop always did well. He was proud to call her pack mate, friend, family.

He nodded his head. I often fill idleness with such things. I don't like to not be busy. It allows me to think too much.
