duck on the run! - Ludovicus - September 04, 2025 Looking for @Raindrop, but others are welcome to join!
Ludo had made his biggest accomplishment yet, sending him running back to Raindrop's den with a grin on his face and a fat duck caught in his jaws. It had been a while since he smiled like this. Nearing the familiar spot he dropped his catch, calling out for his guardian; Raindrop! His voice was filled with pure excitement, eager to show off what he had brought back. Unfortunately, a sudden 'quack' had his victory short-lived. It seemed that his prey wasn't quite dead, and though certainly injured was now trying to waddle away! Startled, Ludovic just about jumped back. Hey! Where are you going? He exclaimed at the escapee. He was sure that the bird had been dead just minutes ago! RE: duck on the run! - Raindrop - September 09, 2025 I'm so sorry I just learned about this now, lol.
Raindrop had tidying up the den when she heard her adoptive son excitedly call out. She trotted to the front of the den, eager to see what the fuss was about. When she saw him approach with a duck in his mouth, she felt pride rise in her chest. "Ludo, that's amazing!" She exclaimed! He must have hunted it all on his own. But, as soon as Ludo dropped it in front of her, something truly unexpected happened: She was just as startled as Ludo when the duck suddenly got up and waddled away! She had never seen anything like this before! "Quick! Let's go get your duck back!" And she took off after it, following Ludo. RE: duck on the run! - Ludovicus - September 11, 2025 At Raindrop's words Ludovic was quick to snap back from his shock, running after the duck so fast that he nearly tripped over his own paws. I swear it was dead! The duck had been so limp! Had it been playing a trick? As though mocking him, the bird was quacking all the while - but unable to fly, Ludo swiftly grabbed it once more. On the way back to Raindrop he shook the duck for extra measures, looking rather deflated by the time he dropped it. I didn't know they could play tricks like that.. |
