Where you don't see me - Kemal - September 05, 2025 Tags are for reference!
He was so filled with hate now. It was more than his usual brooding when he stalked the borders, his lashing tail and narrowed eyes screaming with rage and intention. Intruders were met with pure aggression, prey was destroyed rather than brought home. Soto had brought the body back to them, and while Kemal had inspected it thoroughly the birds and bugs had already destroyed any proof of who murdered his brother. Kemal could not be content with this, to allow his brother to be put to rest without justice, instead searching for anywhere he could place the blame. He blamed Cinar, he blamed Redhawk Caldera, he blamed @Soto, @Disa, and he blamed himself. Part of him wanted to rampage, but it was not in his nature. Instead, as he was tonight, he searched for an outlet to rip into. He must have taken out a generation of rabbits in the past weeks, but supposed that it was better than the alternative as he once more searched for the scent of a burrow. RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - September 15, 2025 Safiya was largely removed from drama. She had no idea wolves were missing or even dead until a body was brought back and laid at their feet. She had stared for a moment lost in thought and lost in memories. Then she had abruptly stood and patrolled. He was not hers to mourn. And she wouldn't tread heavily on those who did. She would protect them. So it was this this thought that she caught sight of the wolf Kemal. In his fury and his rage he was blinded. So she settled to her haunches and curled her tail around. Waiting to see if he would speak or wanted help hunting. RE: Where you don't see me - Kemal - September 15, 2025 Turning his head, he spotted Safiya. It bothered him that he couldn't quite place when she had arrived. Kemal pushed out a breath, lifting his head to greet her. He had taken a liking to the girl months ago during their spar, and none of the anger he felt was directed her way. Safiya. He would calm himself for now. His anger was unsightly, crude, and Kemal felt that it would be wrong to show her what might be going on with him beyond what he might say. It was not her burden. RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - September 15, 2025 Safiya did not hold it against him. Emotions had often gotten the best of her. Clearly. She wore them on her hide. Though hers were also a matter of which children should not be involved A tilt if reddish ear. Sea green eye on his face. Kemal. Did you win your battle against the ground?she asked him lightly. Her father's accent still clinging to some of her words. Hunting? RE: Where you don't see me - Kemal - September 15, 2025 He assumed she was trying to make a joke, and made the effort for a small smile. I don't know if I can call it hunting. Was it still hunting if he did it for sport? But if you are hungry, we can hunt. They hadn't hunted together since the bison. It had been a success, despite Disa's injury. You are a good partner, we would bring home something nice.Kemal had never thought to call Safiya a friend.. but here, when he felt so alone, here she was. RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - October 04, 2025 She had been trying to make a joke. But she was not one that was easy to humor. She had to try to do so. She enjoyed this one. He was nice, and similar in his thoughts. I am not that hungry, but we can hunt for a cache. Winter comes soon. Safiya chuckled. thank you. I do try and be good at hunting with others. RE: Where you don't see me - Kemal - October 04, 2025 Kemal nodded in agreement, beginning the trek ahead. What are you in the mood to chase, then? For Kemal, he thought he could go for something fast. The rush of adrenaline, the earth pounding beneath him. It would be good for his soul. I want you to pick. His mother had raised him to always give a lady a choice, even in situations like this where it seemed like it would matter so little. Show that he cared, listen to what she wished to share. It was a habit he had settled into nicely, always much better suited to listening than speaking. RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - October 17, 2025 She tilted her head. He agreed. Very well. Now was the time to make decisions. What was she hungry for. Or what would feed their numbers. I think we could probably take a deer. I don't feel much like playing with a bison today. She made a soft smile at the tiny joke. She didn't mind the picking. She sized him up. Yes they could take a deer down easily. She hoped. RE: Where you don't see me - Kemal - October 18, 2025 Kemal cracked a smile at her teasing. To find deer, they were best to head up towards the meadow. Fall is coming, they will be growing weak.Good for the two wolves, since that meant they would be easier to catch. Kemal turned north, taking off at a trot. It was difficult not to let his mind wander as they walked. Kemal defaulted to something they could both speak on; Verapaz. With Leto gone, do you think Verapaz will have children this spring? RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - October 19, 2025 Safiya kept a level eye on the path in front of her, compensating with her other senses on her blind side. Sometimes movements a bit overexaggerated, because she mistepped, but not often. Safiya had been young enough when her eye had been torn from her socket. That she could and had learned quickly how to make up for her blindness on that side. She nodded. Also fat and slow. All prey animals began to eat more as the colder whether came. By spring they were less hearty. But fall. That was a time of joyous occasion. Safiya frowned in thought. How many women are left without her? I do not know if I would bear children. That leaves Dija? Anyone else? RE: Where you don't see me - Kemal - October 19, 2025 Kemal brought his nose to the ground, allowing familiar scents to filter through. Only you and Disa.He confirmed. But, maybe she will come back. Or Soto will find a new woman to demand children from.Something about the idea unsettled him. It didn't feel quite right. The trail of a deer hit him, and Kemal picked up the pace. RE: Where you don't see me - Safiya - October 20, 2025 Safiya froze for a minute. If she remembered Letos children were not Sotos she had already been pregnant. Legos children were not Sotos. She was pregnant soon after she arrived or when she arrived if my memory serves. But it was commonplace for women to serve men in the home I used to live in. Our current Pharoah at the time outlawed the service, but once it had been commonplace. Unless you chose to be Mazoi like me., She followed suit and picked up her pace. |
