what big claws you have! - Ludovicus - September 09, 2025
All are welcome to join! I've tagged some of the wolves Ludo knows, but don't feel obligated to join if you aren't feeling it!
Ludovic had seen the strangest thing while out walking the territory. Some sort of monster had broken into a cache; he had though to chase it off, but when the thing snarled and Ludo caught a glance of it's massive claws he was sent running back to where the rest of Moonglow resided.
He called for @Valiant, @Rodyn, and of course @Raindrop. He was eager to report what he had seen, and potentially for a chance to give a good scare to that terrifying beast! It had some nerve, stealing from the pack - someone had worked hard to hunt down what was in that cache and store it for later, all it had done was dig and start gorging itself.
Pausing to catch his breath and regather himself, he almost hoped that nobody would come too quickly. He wouldn't want anyone to think he had been scared.. because he totally wasn't.

Valiant had been looking for the boy, actually. He'd slated himself to walk a few patrols, but had found himself wanting for company while he was at it. It'd taken him this long to realize that he could have company, if he sought it out — and bringing the boy along was an important part of his pack education.
The call, however, galvanized his leisurely search. He hurried to the cub's side, not yet sure what was the matter. He'd called for multiple wolves, so Valiant didn't press for information quite yet. Only asked,
"You alright?"
giving the boy a worried, up-and-down sort of look. When he discovered no injuries, he was able to relax just a fraction.

Raindrop had been shaking off one of the pelts that laid on the den floor, when suddenly an alarmed call cut through the air. She knew the voice, and she ran as fast as she could.
She arrived to the scene with a panicked expression on her face. When she saw that Valiant had already arrived, and was there assessing the situation. She let out a big sign, partly in relief.
Still, she wore the look of a worried mother on her face. “Ludo, are you okay? What happened?” Oh, how she want to scoop him up and hold him close, but he was a growing boy, and may not appreciate that. So instead, she sniffed him over, and gave him and affectionate nuzzle.

Rodyn heard the cry and raced towards it. He didnt know what happened but it sounded urgent. And he wasnt about to not defend the pack and such.
He tilted his head and arrived a gentle pant. And he waited to hear.

He felt a bit guilty when each wolf arrived, all appearing to have been rather worried by his howls. Raindrop nuzzled him while Valiant looked him over for injuries, and with it all in front of Rodyn he couldn't help feeling a little flustered.
There's some sort of beast - it's stealing from someone's cache.Saying it now, Ludo wasn't so sure he needed to have caused such a ruckus.
It had these massive claws, I wanted to chase it away, but they looked really nasty.And it had snarled at him, an overall unpleasant experience.
Eyeing the trio, he waited for each to react. Had he been right to call them?
..I need help.He admitted the obvious.
Somebody worked hard for whatever it's eating!Clearly he was still upset about the monster being such a cheat.

Valiant was only the first to arrive; Rodyn and Raindrop came very quickly after. The news was promptly shared, and Valiant let out a quiet breath as he realized everyone was — probably — unharmed.
"Let's go see it, then," he said to the other adults, looking between them to see what they thought of this plan. He didn't think they needed more just to scout out the danger. If it was a bear... Well, they would take that as it came to it. But most any other creature, he thought the three of them ought to be able to see off.
