So why didn't you stop me? - Leonore - November 03, 2025
When the breeze grew colder by the day and the pangs of hunger began to intensify for each missed meal, Leonore had to admit that she could no longer be alone. The coming Winter was too harsh of a season for an inexperienced survivalist to live through solo.
With a huff and shaken nerves, she had brought herself to the borders of a pack she vaguely recognised. Not by name or territory, but the scent. She could remember it carried on the pelts of pack members when they returned from a hunt of some sort the year prior. If Swiftcurrent Creek had interacted with them just fine, Leonore had to assume they were friendly enough to risk meeting.
Howling, she requested for someone to come meet her. There was no time to waste if she didn't want to change her mind and run before they got here.

Ajei still didn't like going to the borders. It always took her a minute to smooth her fur and make the nerves leave. Deep even breaths. Then she was ready.
Delicate paw steps and she arrived quietly. This was a younger one. A small smile and she greeted the girl.

Leonore couldn't help lighting up a bit when she saw the wolf who came to meet her. It wasn't often that she was a wolf so close to her own size.
My name is Leonore. I'm looking for a home for the winter.Straight to the point, or she would never get to it.
..I uh, I don't know a lot about hunting, but I can learn.Ouch, that wasn't a great pitch.
I'm good with pups, though. I helped a woman give birth in my last home and watched her pups a lot.She had been good enough at that, none of them had died.

Ajei was smaller than most. It was something she carried deep inside and it both bothered her, but also made her feel special. She was different. A small smile for the girl who was small and delicate like her.

Hunting is not the only skill that is coveted. It is okay if you don't know a lot. I personally prefer fishing.A shake of her one ear.
