canine teeth in the side of my neck - Europia - November 25, 2025
Europia had spent enough time on the mountain by now that she felt comfortable being out and about. She knew the scents and sights near Haedwig's den, and felt sure that they would know her too.
Trotting across the rendevous site, she planned on making her way down the mountain today. It felt strange to have so much freedom - she barely knew what to do with all of it. There were a lot of firsts here, really. Her first time living as a subordinate, her first time away from her siblings, her first time in a pack that was not of the Corax.
It was weird. But good weird.
The only thing Europia knew for certain is that she had a lot of learning to do.

Kira was wandering, finding new things to do. A new scent filled the air and she tried to remember all of the scents that Kindle had shown her when they met. This one wasn't familiar, so she made her way toward it.
She followed the scent until she came upon another she-wolf, about her age. "Hello, I'm Kira," she introduced, her tail flicking with excitement.

They were met by a stranger, but a friendly stranger. She returned with her own wagging tail, trotting up to meet her.
I'm Europia.She smiled, sapphire eyes inspecting Kira.
She hadn't seen too many others yet, something to do with a hunt.
Are you from Dawnspear too? I haven't met a lot of you yet.Europia wasn't quite sure if it was really because they were all busy, of if they had just been avoiding her.

Kira nodded. "I am from Dawnspear," she said. "I haven't met everyone yet, either. Are you new?"
Perhaps it was a silly question, since she was fairly new herself, but she asked it anyway.
"I just mean I don't recognize your scent or anything either, and I thought I'd seen everyone when Katmai had a meeting for everyone."

I probably came afterwards.She couldn't remember any meetings.
I've been here for..Europia paused, attempting to count the days,
..I think it'll be close to a month soon. I came to be with Haedwig, she's my godmother.
Europia wasn't so sure if she should be using Haedwig in her introductions anymore, really. It didn't seem like Dawnspear wolves were the biggest fans of her.
It seems so quiet here - is it always like this?

Kira nodded a bit. "I've been here a bit longer than that. I've met Haedwig, she's sweet," she said.
For a moment, Kira thought about the question. "It is," she said. "Sometimes I forget that it's so quiet. I guess I got used to it."

Europia couldn't help her smile when Kira revelealed her good impression of Haedwig. At least there was one!
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it.The kingdom had been so lively, and so far the Teekons were so.. not.
I think a few good friends will help though. Do you get along with the wolves on the mountain?
So far all but Kira seemed pretty uptight.

"Yeah. where I grew up was rather quiet, and I've been alone for a while, so that's been extra quiet." She seemed thoughtful as she spoke. "Maybe one day the pack will have more members and it won't be so quiet."
She nodded at the question. "Yeah, everyone's been pretty great," she said. "So far, I haven't met anyone who hasn't been welcoming. I've appreciated it. I've not really had a pack before."

I guess I can't relate too much there. My birth pack was big, and loud.Maybe that was what had made Europia so out there - she always had to yell over the crowd.
This place is different, it's weird.But, she would learn to love it. Probably.
I should probably get back to Haedwig now, but it was nice meeting you Kira.Gesturing her goodbye, Europia left back up towards the rendevouz.
