when she stood there and let her own folks go - Angel Oak - November 28, 2025 I'd like to get Angel back to Great Sky, so I am going to post her leaving thread. If anyone ends up coming with her, feel free to respond here if you like! Otherwise, tags are for reference.
Enough time had passed. Angel said goodbye to her family, holding @Raindrop close one last time. They'd see each other again, she knew, but this was the first time that Angel left her with intentions of staying someplace else. This would be more than a visit. Great Sky would be her home. She howled for @Etienne and Dreamgirl, letting them know she was leaving the area, and that they were welcome to come along if they wished. It would be good, she felt, to have some kind of family with her, and she felt a wonderful kinship with the gentle and wise Etienne. But she'd miss her sister. Her mother. Her new siblings. She'd miss Rodyn and Valiant, and even Ajei and Arrluk. It hurt to think of leaving them like this — but she had to believe that it wasn't truly a goodbye. They'd see each other again. Maybe when Angel had a family of her own to show them. Angel turned and headed for Great Sky, laden with her chosen gifts for her new packmates. The fox pelt padded her shoulder against the poking antlers she carried on her back, and the bundle of pretty pheasant feathers and chips of moonstone was clutched safely in her jaws. It would be a hard journey, but she was fit for it. It was time to make the bittersweet journey home. RE: when she stood there and let her own folks go - Etienne - December 03, 2025 Etienne had nothing tying him here. And so with peaceful thoughts and his normal melancholy air. He followed the howl. He wasn't ready to walk with the girl, but he would follow. His own furs packed with herbs and healing things. He could offer her pack that much. Give her someone useful to return. |
