Somebody's driving - Milan - December 03, 2025 The moment she had found Easy in labour, Milan knew they wouldn't be returning to Round Valley as the elder hoped. Milan felt for her, but with pups so young it was better to stay in one place. However, her concerns weren't so much with their delayed travels. The winter had arrived, and newborns didn't mix well with harsh cold; Milan's real work was starting now. In the previous years she would have prepared pelts leftover from hunts, but with no pack to provide them she was settling for soft ferns and moss. It would be a challenge to find what remained after the recent snowfall, but she felt confident that the grove would give her something. Pawing through the snow, Milan ignored the snow that grabbed and stuck to her fur as she hoped for the sight of green. So far all she had found was mud. RE: Somebody's driving - Searchlight - December 04, 2025 Searchlight roamed the area, still searching for his mother. The pups were due soon, if they hadn't been born already. He found another wolf, searching in the snow. He was slow as he approached, curious what she was doing. "Hello," he said, as he got closer. "Are you looking for something?" RE: Somebody's driving - Milan - December 04, 2025 Milan was startled by the approach of a stranger, just about jumping out of her skin before she regained her composure. ..Ferns, for a nest. She admitted. The snow has hidden what's left, though. Watching the young man in front of her, Milan couldn't help finding him vaguely familiar. She couldn't quite place what it was though - she certainly hadn't met him before, this wolf was barely more than a babe. RE: Somebody's driving - Searchlight - December 04, 2025 "I'll help you search," said Searchlight, as he started pawing through the snow, searching for a fern. His back was to the other wolf, but he spoke. "Name's Searchlight," he told her, but avoided going into his whole story. "What's yours?" |
