I don't know how to give you up - Etienne - December 12, 2025
Etienne did his duty. He chased, he fought the prey beast for his new pack. And then when all was done. When the beast was felled and other's ate their fill. He had slipped away, his chest so tight he couldn't breathe. The ghost of a man he had not ever left, it had visited him with the face of a child he had both loved and hated. Hated for who his father and mother were, loved for who his father and mother were. It both hurt and caused such emotional turmoil, he did not know what to do.
So he left and he found a dark part of the nearby forest and he stood there in the shadows. Body and limbs shaking. He fought to control himself. He had placed Anselm in a secret part of his heart. He had locked the key and he had tried to not think of him daily. But then in a place where he thought he could have a fresh start. The face of his beloved stared out from his son's gaze and Etienne was shaken to his core.
