Does he know I'm forsaken - Pala - December 31, 2025
Pala passes through the Maplewoods at a brisk pace, long steps overtaking each other. The sun will soon disappear beneath the horizon, and she is no longer fit for nights.
A crunch of snow forces her to stop, single eye waiting to see who has come. Perhaps hopeful, she thinks it may be Yataghan once again. She considers to run and greet them, but something like common sense or instinct stops her.

Miska is feeling stupid.
He leaves camp at a brisk pace, loping through the darkening woods with no destination in mind except relief. His blood still runs hot after the dance with the silver queen, and the heat must out – through violence or passion, he makes no distinction.
It is he that draws Pala's attention, breaking through the hardened shell of snow once before disappearing behind the cover of stones. Only a few seconds pass between spotting her, assessing, and this little hide-and-seek interlude.
She is hideous, even in low light. Miska is thrilled.
He attacks like a berserker, straight on, senseless, wild, launching himself over the boulder like a canonball with teeth.
